Best find of our Vietnam Holiday...Highly Recommen
Staff,Rooms and Great Breakfast
9.3
We spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved it. The rooms are perfect and quiet so you get a great nights sleep. It's out of the main tourist area which is only a $4 cab ride away but we spent a fair bit of our time around the local area and had a ball.
Beautiful breakfast and free coffee all day long and the owners go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. I've read on other posts where people haven't felt safe around this area but we never felt threatened at all we even sat and had street food up the alley from the hotel.
We'll definitely stay here again if we come back to Ho Chi Minh.

Waste of money, Located in dark Alley
Nothing, Nothing, Nothing
5.7
Please don't use this Hotel, It only got clean rooms but staff are just not Friendly. We were told to order Breakfast a night before so we ordered Spicy Beef soup. The next day they gave us Original Beef soup, when we asked they said there was a miscommunication so just HAVE it !!! They didn't bother to change. We were shocked.... It is Located in a dark alley way and there are local drinking all along the way. Please don't waste your money....

Fantastic!
Excellent Staff, Extremely helpful, great experience
9.7
We stayed here for three nights during out trip to Vietnam in a Signature room. This hotel is just lovely, it is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. The breakfast is delicious and the people are unbelievable hospitable and helpful - I can't praise them enough, as they really made our time in HCMC easy and enjoyable. Ma Maison is situated in district 3, which is more of a local residential area. The hotel itself is accessed down an alley, which is off a side street, which is itself off the main road. When we were dropped off by a local taxi from the airport he couldn't find it, so we were a little concerned that we had been stranded in the middle of nowhere. However after a bit of sign language with a local shop keeping we realised we were very close to the hotel and found it without a problem - all the locals will point you in the right direction. It was really interesting staying in district 3, as it gives you a real taste of what it is like in a residential area, with the local shops and numerous street food vendors. It is easy to get into the centre on a local bus (which is only 5000 dong p/p) and takes about 15/20 mins.

Vietnam is filled with many excellent inexpensive hotels. Ma Maison was the best used during a one month stay. Service is impeccable. Decor delightful. Location is in the heart of a fascinating neighborhood whilst providing easy access to the city center and airport.

Stay here in HCMC - amazing
Mr Hu and the staff plus the ambience and rooms - all around amazing experience
9.7
The service and facilities at Ma Maison were second to none. We felt at home as the staff were so attentive and welcoming. The rooms have everything that you need. Although a little out from the centre of of the city the experience of the cab ride means you get to see even more of what HCM has to offer. Would stay here again and recommend to everyone.

Hotel de charme
Staff, urban non touristic neighborhood, pleasant
8.7
Our stay was superb. It's a charming, old but really well renovated boutique hotel.
all the staff are very welcoming.
The hotel is super clean, I hope u don't mind leaving your shoes out.
The neighborhood looks scary at first, but you will then get used to it. It gives you a real urban / popular feel.

The perfect oasis for a visit to Saigon
The friendly staff, the helpful staff, the attentive staff
10
This was one of our favorite trips ever, in large part because of Natasha and her uncle who own and run Ma Maison. This used to be their home and they treat you more as a house guest than just a tenant. They arranged cabs, tours and made recommendations that were all spot on. They greated us with passion fruit juice when we arrived and every morning after. As noted by others, the location was off the main street down several narrow alleys. We actually loved this since it felt like our own secret oasis. The hotel (really a B&B) felt peaceful and calm even 200 feet from the chaos that is Saigon traffic. Though he won't offer it unless asked, Natasha's uncle had fascinating and poignant stories of Saigon and Vietnam before and since the war. They were the consumate gracious hosts and always offered us an escort to be sure we found our way out the the main street. They even had someone come with us to hail a taxi when we needed one - word to the wise, only go with Vinasun or Mai Linh taxis. Even without our "personal escort", we never felt unsafe in the area. We were sad to leave and only hope we'll have the chance to return there some day.

Limited space here, so I'll keep it short. Had a horrible experience dealing with them.
