The best feature about this hotel is it's location, whcih is in the heart of the city and walking distance to everything. The May is very new and this is always a big plus.
On arrival the receptionist was very rude but on reflection my dealings with other staff were fine so I think this was someone having a bad day.
The May is well situated, clean and new, it has all the facilities you expect and the overall experience was good. This hotel I felt was catering for the package tour market. The room we had was what you expect, but it was not spacious.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Great location and I would stay here again.

Very new & clean, staff service efficient
A little expensive for its class, no in-room safe and kettle
Advantages:
Ideally located on a quiet street within a bustling district. The famous Dong Khoi Street and Nguyen Hue Boulevard are just a short walk away.
Hotel lobby is simple yet nice.
Room is very new and clean, marble flooring so there's no carpet odour.
Staff service very efficient.
Disadvantages:
No in-room safe and no kettle
Overall, a very pleasant experience. The hotel is rated 3-stars but is more like 3.5 -4 stars.
A little pricey though. What we're paying for is the location and the cleanliness of the place
Nightlife Tip : Apocalypse Now, probably Ho Chi Minh's most famous disco, is located on the same street.
