Good location. Rooms newly refurbished, spacious. nice staff. Very good breakfast and restaurant. Swimming pool.

We had a great time staying at the Metropole Hotel HCMC. It is quite close to Ben Thanh market, the cathedral,...The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious, newly refurbished. Breakfast is excellent, the restaurant is also very good. Even if it is not very big, we really appreciated the swimming pool to refresh ourselves at the end of our busy days !

Shopping Tip : Ben Thanh market is only 20 minutes walk far from the hotel (or 16,000 VND by taxi).

Very good hotel choice when staying in the busy city of HCMC. The staff are awesome - always ready to help get a taxi, etc. Breakfast is very good - lots of selection, and good service. The rooms are clean and spacious. It's lovely to have a pool to cool off in after a hectic day of shopping.

Shopping Tip : Don't miss the market! The night market is fun too - cheap eats.

Good Location Good Service

Pool too small

The reception staff are very friendly and gnerally someone speaks reasonable English. The tour desk personnel were very helpful. The Breakfast menu is very good and meals at the restaurant of a high quality. I had aone hour massage which was reasonably priced and of high quality although I did not appreciate having to pay atip

Nightlife Tip : Lots of small, cheap cafes and restaurants within walking distance

Good value Good Breakfast Free internet access Reasonably central

Pool area, esp. the changing area, showers need work

Metropole was a good place to stay, the rooms were clean and cleaned every day. Breakfast had a good variety each morning and was as substantial as you wanted. The hotel is in District 1, we preferred walking to most places - taxi fare to nearly everywhere we went was about €1 or $1.5 - very cheap. However as with the rest of Vietnam you need to be vigiliant with the taxi drivers - for the majority of them, their national pasttime is to extract more money from you. Hotel were very accommodating when we had a problem with a loud TV next door early one morning. Pat, Ireland

Good Location, very fun bar with locals and tourists. Decent and good priced massage salon in the hotel.

The King size bed was made up of 2 twins put together so there was a crack down the middle.

The hotel seemed a bit old but was clean and comfortable. Its in a convenient location, havent walked around but it was very close to the center of District 1. The rooms were decent, had all the amenities. While the bed was big, it was also two beds put together. There is a bar by the pool with a nice pool table. Someone comes by and racks the balls for you. That was nice. After 9pm, the bar has karaoke which was a big hit. We met some locals that go to that bar often. The hotel bar was not only for tourist, which is a good sign that it's a place to be. We also had the opportunity to get massages at the hotel. The spa stays open pass midnight, which is a nice treat after a long day/night out. Relatively inexpensive too! Overall the massage was okay. The back massage was better than the rest. A little woman steps on your back for the back portion, but when she turns you over, her hands a bit weak and just feels like she's just going through the motions but not really getting your tight spots out. At the end of the massage, we heard an up expected noise coming from another room, which we thought came from the TV/Video. It didn't. In sum, we would stay here again. Clean and convenient.

Hotel Feature Tip : Fun Bar with a nice pool table and Karaoke!!

Stayed here for 5 nights had booked expensive room high up with doulble bed and bath, Our room we were taken to was on the top floor but had single beds they said they would change us in the morning they certainly did to a tiny obviously standard room no bath no view, in the 5 days we were there they never changed our sheets, just shocking Would never stay again andf am wary of pre paying for rooms from now on

We were upgraded to an executive room. Quite spacious and clean. 5 min walking to the 'bar street' although not so near to District 1 (shopping/eating place). Good service, staff even helped me carry my shoppings to the room.

Breakfast time is a problem, only until 9.30 am which I think many people prefer it to be until 10.30 am since some tourists may sleep longer on holidays

It's a good value hotel overall for the price we paid for. Staff's English needs improvements, but they did try very hard. Although the streets surrounding the hotel is a bit busy, we did not seem to be disturbed for sleeping. I suggest taking a taxi to the Market and District 1 since it is quite hot to walk under the sun in Ho Chi Minh City. The coffee shops nearby close early, if you want to have a cup of coffee, try District 1.

Restaurant Tip : Get up early to enjoy your breakfast.

We liked their approach to service, most people - from the maid to the reception - was serviceminded. The breakfast was good! It was a plus for us that they have adjoining rooms, since we are a family traveling with children.

The pool is small and facing the street and therefore very noisy.

Before we went to Ho Chi Minh City, we looked at many hotels, trying to find the best offer. I think it is always difficult if you never have been in the city. Because you don't know your way around... When we choose Metropole we had some criterias: 1. Centrally placed 2. A pool 3. A certain standard since we hade our kids with us. We liked their approach to service, most people - from the maid to the reception - was serviceminded. The breakfast was good! It was a plus for us that they have adjoining rooms, since we are a family traveling with teenagers.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near the hotel is the Museum of modern art, grab a taxi and go expirience this! And you shouldn't miss some of the markedts!

Easy check-in, comfortable room, happy stay

Maybe a welcome drink and cold towel upon arrival

We stayed here for 2 nights upon arrival at Siagon and we were very happy with it. It took about 40 mins to get there from the airport - beware of fake taxis that rip you off! Always go in a metre taxi. The staff were very competent, the room was comfortable and there's a great bar at the hotel that is like a small night club.

Nice small hotel, good price.

A bit old and a bit of a walk to the centre of town

The history of the hotel was very interesting, it was not that far from the main centre of Saigon. Staff were good, menu in the restaurant was limited and the swimming pool was very small. It gets quite crowded. Rooms with a view are smaller than the rooms within the hotel. Bathroom much smaller but the rooms with a view are much lighter inside. Staff were very helpful.

Modern room.

Limited number of sun lounges in pool area.

Recently renovated hotel with all mod cons. Pool area is small but adequate for a daily swim. Staff provided an efficient and friendly service. Computers available to check emails etc. in business area - free of charge.

Restaurant Tip : Many good, small, local restaurants in 'backpacker' area only a block away.
