For Malay Muslim Travellers;
Ho Chi Minh has a very small Muslim community and I suggest you check out Zabihah.com for Halal foods which is quite plenty here but scattered all over.
Mifuki Hotel is 3 to 4 star and is only 3 doors away from Lion City Halal Singapore food! Its about 7 minutes walk to Ben Than Market which is also where the Night Market is.
We booked 3 rooms and each were average in size, just nice for us to retire after our usual long walks to discover HCM.
The toilets were very clean. The service were quite attentive. The people speaks good english and very polite. They got cable so kids get to enjoy cartoon networks :)
Breakfast was at the rooftop and its very pleasant; you can choose to be in the airconditioned part or in the open side, we preferred the open area cos the air is fresh and cooling.
Breakfast spread was minimal! but adequate... again, service was good and pleasant.
FREEEEEEEEEEE wifi!!! in the lobby and in the rooms!!!!!! what else can i asked for.
If you dont know what lemongrass air freshner smells like, you will soon knows cos they have a very heavy lemongrass air freshner of sort in the lobby, may smells like bad medicine to some but you'll get used to it after a few hours... dont panic, lemongrass smells quite nice.
They got 2 security officer in the front of the hotel that will keep away the bad guys.
Yes, I will come to this hotel again for my next visit cos its value for money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
WHen you come out from the hotel, you can see Vy Trung Cafe with its short chairs and tables at the corner, do yourself a favour and order their strongest Mocha Coffee Iced with condensed milk! Its the best introduction to vietnamese coffee... My wife became a coffee drinker after trying a glass of this potent drink... its a bit pricy though BUT its more than worth it.
Ben Than Market has everything you need, it took us a few visits to get accustomed to their opening prices and bargaining! They also ACCEPT Malaysian Ringgit!!! but not the Singapore dollar hahaha...
For halal food, go to central mosque by Taxi, tell them to take you to Sheraton Hotel cos the Masjid is just next to it. There are about 5 restaurants there and we enjoyed the Turkish restaurant the best cos its super clean and the food is great plus great service too... again its a bit pricy.

The staff were friendly & helpful. We were offered our room for an etra hour for free, which meant we were able to shower before our flight.The breakfast was Ok. You could get eggs cooked as you like.It was close to markets & cheap Tourist offices.

Utmärkt läge med vägglus på rummen

Mifuki hotell befinner sig i ett centralt läge i Saigon nära en stor marknad. Bra skick med fina rum. Men tyvär blev vi angripna av vägglus, och vistelsen blev mindre trevligt när personalen bara bad om ursäkt hela tiden utan att göra nogånting åt problemet. Vägg lusen angräpp oss på nätterna när vi sov. Vi upptäckte de av ett slump på natten när vi såg 30 tal av de krypa på våra kuddar och bedden kl 4 på natten.

Mifuki är bara 200 meter från en stor marknad
