Good location if you don't want to explore the city. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast compare to others.
Quite far from town if you're a tourist. Some rooms especially Standard/Superior rooms need renovation!
Not recommend for toursist!

The staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful (even at 3:30am), rooms are very quiet and pool is really nice and peaceful!
In hotel restaurants quite pricey, but OJs juice bar just outside a great find!
I was looking for a hotel near the airport to be able to catch my EARLY morning flight and was VERY pleased with how nice, clean, quiet it was despite being on such a busy street. The pool area is really great, as is the spa. It is a great find and I much prefer it over the other hotels in the area. The rooms are a little small but very comfortable with everything I needed. I'd definately stay here again... it is a little ways from the downtown area for sightseeing, but great location near airport and I had no problem with an early check-in.
Restaurant Tip : OJs juice bar outside hotel is great value and great food!

10 min. from the airport. Clean
Slow check-in and check-out. Terrible interior.
The Mövenpick hotel would be a decent 4 star, but the service level, awful interior and breakfast does not qualify for neither 5 stars nor the price level. You can find much better standard in other hotels.

With luxury, personal service made my stay more relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and exhibition centre (around 15-minute).
Quite far from downtown and other tourist attractions.
One friendly reminder when it comes to choosing your hotel room - try to avoid any rooms near the executive lounge as it will be very noisy when staff preparing the breakfast in the early morning!

Near the airport, good breakfast
Small room, old furniture
This hotel is only 2km from the airport, very convenient for late or early flight. It has good breakfast with asian dishes. Rooms are small and everything is old. We were given a room with window but faced a small and dark space (no view at all), so we complained and got a bigger room.

The Moevenpick Hotel Saigon is a fairly good property. The lobby is beautiful and check-in and bell staff were always friendly. The standard room is clean and spacious and the king-sized bed was very comfy. Good gym and breakfast. It's close to the airport.
It's an older hotel. Outside of the new carpet and paint, much within the room remains quite dated. Tourists should consider alternative properties in District 1 (main area and downtown).
This beautiful neo-colonial new-build hote is lnow run by the diligent Swiss. It's close to the airport (10 minute taxi ride) that serve the needs of a business traveller or someone wanting to stay close to HCMC airport at a fair price.

We like the hotel because the exercise room with sauna and the pool were very nice. They have a beautiful pool on the 3rd floor which was nice and relaxing. The hotel is clean and well maintained.
We wish that they banned smoking. The lobby has a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. For asthmatics like me, this is not very helpful. But then most hotels in Vietnam are not smoke free.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was very courteous and could speak English well. There are nice stores on the first floor but they are a little expensive. We really liked the pool and the sauna. The hotel is near the airport so if you have to leave early, it only takes 5 minutes to get there. Since this is a high end hotel, there are weddings here. It was nice to see a wedding of a Vietnamese couple while we were there.
Restaurant Tip : There are several restaurants within walking distance that offer a much less expensive meal.

Nice room, good facilities within the room.
Very commercial, gave the feeling that their primary objective was to maximize the customer charge.
A nice ambiance about the foya area with piano playing at 6pm for an hour or two. Cooperative staff.

Very nice size rooms and bathroom. Nice and professional staff. The restaurant is very good and there is a decent casino on site.
Priced high...but reasonable for Saigon. The immediate area has no real interest. Quite a bit out ring from the tourist attractions.
Airport location is excellent for early morning flights, but probably not great for sightseeing.

Location is very close to the airpost.
Room is small, fixture is old, run down.
The only reason I picked this hotel is this location. It's very near by the airport, has good breakfast, service is getting better compared to last several times I stayed there.
The room is too small, fixture is old, rundown, similar to a motel than a hotel. There are better hotels with the same price in town.

The room was a bit small but nice and clean. The front desk was very helpful. The breaksfast and dinner buffets were excellant.
Excellent hotel BUT really only if you want a hotel outside the city and nearer to the airport. For visiting the city, it is pretty far away from everything and you will always have to take some form of transportation (taxi, Honda, etc).
Will come back again!

Excellent service and rooms, gym, sauna, etc.
very far from the downtown area.
The hotel is excellent and the quality is up to par with the 5 stars. However, it is located in an area far from downtown which offers literally nothing after 9 PM or so. You have to catch a cab or xe om (motorbike) for 15-20 minutes to go out in the evening (cheap but inconvenient). You can spend the same amount of money at a 4 or even 3 star hotel downtown with little loss in quality. If you are merely spending the night on the way to the airport it's a fine choice.
Nightlife Tip : catch a motorbike cheap (2-3 USD) or taxi (3-4 USD) ride to downtown from right outside the hotel. Make sure you negotiate and definitely don't pay more than what's mentioned above. If you take a taxi make sure you agree with the driver to have the meter on.

The hotel is supposed to be 5 star, but we didn't think so....
Overprice, far from city centre, middle of nowhere.
The hotel was OVERPRICED!!!!! Too expensive for that value. I reckon it should be only 3 and half Star... The room was clean enough, gym was ok, but swimming pool was too small and not nice environment. The hotel was middle of nowhere, always need to take a taxi to the city. Hotel staffs were nice but hard to communicate in English. The restaurant and bars are overpriced!!!
Restaurant Tip : We enjoyed only food in Ho Chi Minh. Nothing much to buy, not much to see. Sightseeing was only mekong delta and some kinda of tunnel. Not much to do in Ho Chi minh... Most of ppl don't speak English.

Hotel facilities
Relation price/value
location: far from center
Very tourist hotel
This hotel has changed its brand name 3 times in the last years; from Omni saigon to Marco Polo, From Marco Polo to Movenpick. Decoration, facilities keep being the same: enough for 4 star, a little poor for 5 star standard in this area of the world. Its location is quite far from city center and not realy convenience for tourist. A very good luxury option if you are spending just one night or two in HCM and hotel must be near airport.
