Great location
near the main shopping mall

The hotel consider not bad. The location is great. But when we book the hotel we request for riverview room, end up we dint get the riverview room. The hotel room normal. We go at new year eve, the great part is near the count down location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Can go around the riverside.

This hotel is strategic for me as i enjoy night life so much. It's just 2 minutes walk to the Apocalypse Now club, and 5 minutes taxi (around 1 USD by meter taxi) to the Lush club. It also located nearby the Vincom Center where I can reach there in 15 minutes by walking. Also convenient because the is a Circle K Minimart located just few shops away.

Very nice little hotel in the upmarket area

Very nice budget hotel in the main upmarket tourist area / Japanese area.
Very clean budget hotel, great service with a smile.
The free breakfast is basic, but theres a lot of restaurants in the area
Good wifi connection
Main downside is I got a room without a window (ask for one when you book)
Shopping Tip:
Saigon Square nearby, great for buying budget clothes

Good Location but small clean room.
Location is near to most tourist spots.

Room is reasonably clean but small for family room compared to another hotel which we stayed in 2 days earlier. Zen Lapaz hotel was known by another name, New York Phuong Hotel and the new name was not even put up yet. It was not easy to find and we had to confirm the address with the front desk. We have also been overcharged by Agoda as we found out at the reception that the offer for the family room. We were also not satisfied with the room because the toilet door and main door was jammed. They had to break open the lock. We got our things and changed room. However, the receptionist was helpful and get things done quickily. Hope that the hotel improve their facilities, otherwise it could be a great place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can take buses to keep the cost low as taxi fares can be quite costly for budget travellers. It cost only 4000 VTN Dong by bus to go to any location in the city. Buses passes most of the locations for tourist.

Great location and happy staff
We loved the big bathroom.

The location was central and close to lots of restaurants and shops. It was an easy walk to the markets.
We were very comfortable in the superior triple room and it was very quiet. The breakfast was limited but the pho was one of the best we had. The staff were very obliging and allowed extended check out time at no extra cost.

Mediocre hotel
Nothing of merit compared to other hotels

Booked for three nights - deluxe room with "River View" - was given a room on lower floor - asked for river view and was offered another higher up but the river view was more a glimps than a view. Hotel is located too far from the real centre of restaurants, etc. It appears a family business and though they were helpful, it didn't seem too professional
