Conveniently located within minutes from Ben Thanh Market. As with most hotels in HCMC, the hotel rates are quite steep. We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. It is generally a hotel used by a lot of business travellers. But because it is located very near to Ben Thanh Market, it is also very suitable for tourists who like to shop around that area. The rooms were clean and pretty well kept with everything that one would expect from a business class hotel. The overall service by the hotel staff was also excellent. Nothing that I can complain about.

The hotel is located perfectly in Saigon, walking distance to shopping and eating. Taxi is cheap if you want to see the city, and you do.
Restaurant Tip : The food in the restaurant is excellent.

When catching taxis try to stick with Vinasun taxi. Mostly honest drivers and meters are not rigged to rip you off.

Centrally located. Open and airy lobby. Best deal for a 5 star hotel. Great breakfast! Staff is very friendly and nice in general. However, we've caught a few talking smack in Vietnamese thinking we didn't understand the language, but we're fluent! We have stayed at New World numerous times for all of our family trips to Ho Chi Minh City. It has the best price for a 5 star hotel. It's not the trendiest hotel anymore, but definitely solid.
The rooms are clean, decent, and nicely decorated. The hotel is very open and airy. The breakfast is awesome (especially the pho), serving an international fare and you get a view of the park while you enjoy your meal.
It also feels safe. The staff definitely takes notice of everyone who steps foot into the hotel. This is where US Presidents stay when they visit HCM.
Travel tip : It's expensive to book directly through the hotel, so try to find better rates through Agoda or travel agents in Vietnam.

The location was great. The hotel put alot of effort into bringing the christmas spirit into the hotel. The rooms were very spacious and clean the swimming pool are was not very large. was pretty dead This was the first time we stayed at the New World Hotel and we would love to return to stay. The hotel is in good location in district one, and is in walking distance to the Ben Thanh market if you don't mind the stroll with the heat. The breakfast buffet was very satisfying with a selection of western menu and the traditional vietnamese menu
Restaurant Tip : there is a small late night noodle street restaurant near to the hotel. Just ask the taxi and they know exactly where to take you

Being the biggest 5star hotel in Vietnam it lacks the tidiness one would come to expect. The staff is friendly and helpful, but e.g. the room cleanliness is not up to standard. There are other hotels in Ho Chi Minh City which do a better job (for less money - e.g. the Majestic). But the food is good and it's always easy to get a room - something that cannot be said about the other 5 star hotels in the city.

Front 5 star hotel and was not. After, Beauty is a minimum. The course was very different. Este was the lowest, good breakfast. After the state was cutting FITONESUKONA rent. Much, not had many people can fit into other Rino Tomari. Taxi, even though I tell people where to go to the hotel, and around the distal, or time round we did not pretend to be.
