Very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Happy to please, great view from exec suites and lounge. Couldn't fault anywhere? Would definitely stay again without a doubt. Gordy shop in the foyer, house keeping knocking on doors to clean rooms at 8.00am. From the moment you step through the front door, you feel just a little bit of relief from the fabulous madness of Ho Chi Minh city. Despite the amount of people that may be in the foyer you still feel like everybody who works there cares that you are there. Front reception excellent, porters fantastic. Not requiring to use the tour desk but they were always helpful in providing information if required. Being offered a beer on arrival was a definite win-over for my husband, he now believes all hotels should be the same.
The executive lounge and room were just what we needed for our last night in HCM. Being exhausted and travelling around wasn't an issue as soon as we melted into the soft bed and pillows in our room. It was also a great place to catch up with distant friends who also happened to be in Vietnam for the same evening.
Would highly recommend to anybody, well worth it. Thank you.
Shopping Tip : Great shopping available just outside the door. If you want more up market it's only 5mins up the road by taxi. Popular Pham Ngu Lao district very close too.

Convenient place where eateries and shopping centres are closely located. Not too far from the airport as well. A little pricey without breakfast. I've enjoyed the stay overall except for the price paid, it should include breakfast. Location is good for easy access to food and shopping. Entertainment outlets are also nearby.

This hotel is extremely clean with many great facilities and in a great central location. Virtually none of the facilities the hotel mentions to make it a 5 star hotel can be used by guests for free. In other words, yes they have a gym, yes they have a sauna and steam room, and yes they have a Tennis court and Table Tennis facilities but they must all be paid for on top of your room rates. Easy access to food and local tourist attractions, rooms are well kept, clean and good service and good choice of food price is a little on the high side! I've always enjoyed my stay at the New World Hotel due to it's excellent service and location but the price is a little on the high side! Easy access to local tourist attractions and also eateries especially in the evening.
Travel tip : Feel free to walk around for shopping as well as leisure purpose.

Location, right in the engine room of Saigon. Park opposite, Ben Thanh market 10 minutes walk. Good shopping within the immediate precinct and more options only a short taxi ride from the hotel The sun deck chairs in the pool area badly need replacing. The covers are split and some are torn. Not a good look for a hotel presenting itself as a five star property. The New World Hotel Saigon is listed as a five star property but is probably in reality a good four star hotel. However, don't let that put you off, as this hotel has a lot going for it, not least its location in the hub of Saigon.
From the front door of the hotel, good shopping is within 7 minutes walk and the famous Ben Thanh market can be reached inside 10 minutes.
The hotel puts on a great breakfast, and I couldn't help but notice that there was champagne available for those who like a tipple of the bubbly at the early hours of the day.
The staff are professional and very helpful, and the standard of English of all on the front desks of the hotel is very good.
Overall, I give this hotel high marks for presentation, cleaniness, efficiency and friendly and professional staff.
The only con I could add is that the sun lounges around the swimming pool on the second floor are badly in need of replacement as most of the covers are cracked and some had holes in them.
Hotel Feature Tip : As mentioned there is champagne available for breakfast. I don't think I have seen this offered gratis in any hotel that I have stayed at over the years.

For the $US 3,500 we spent on staying there for 17 days, we could have had a nicer suite at another establishment instead of the small "deluxe" bedroom.

Conveniently located very close to Ben Thanh Market The New Worlod Hotel is situated in downtown Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) virtually opposite the Ben Thanh Market. It provides clients with a level of luxury and comfort to be expected of a true star establishment, yet without the impersonal detached feeling one might get at other similar hotels.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to main attractions like Ben Thanh Market, Cathedral, etc.

I cannot recommend this hotel. They wanted to charged me for my stay even though I already prepaid through Agoda and showed them a confirmed voucher!
Travel tip : Confirm your reservation ahead of time with hotel. It will save you some headaches.
