Quiet hotel in central location with fab staff

We had a great stay at Nhat Thao Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging bus tickets and tour to Cu Chi tunnels for us. When the tour operator/bus company were 5 minutes late collecting us, they phoned to check their whereabouts. Used the laundry service which was quick and good. Enjoyed the simple yet delicious free breakfast. Room did not have an extern window but had good ventilation and didn't bother us at all. Made for a very quiet room in a big noisy city.

Basic guest house but lovely staff

i arrived at like 2am but the lovely reception girl was happy to wake up and check me in. actually if this review was just based on my first room, on the third floor, it wouldn't be so good because the hot water wasn't working, there is a water pump noise which goes all night and it's a chore to walk up the steps in the heat to get to. however, they were happy to move me to a first floor room and everything was just right there. the included breakfast was beyond basic but what do you expect for this price. special mention really has to go out to the staff who were very friendly and helpfull.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you're visiting the War Remnants museum bare in mind that they close between 12:00 - 1:30pm, for lunch?? bizarre

We got a tiny little room, with hardly enough room to open to open the door. The A/C leaked water all over the floor. Hotel staff (apart from one) seemed more intent on selling tours/bus tickets etc. then providing basic services.
They also only have enough space for 50% of guests to have breakfast, which is served grudgingly.
