Norfolk Hotel Ho Chi Minh City Info
Guests wishing to combine business with pleasure will find much to recommend in this hotel, centrally located in the city but surprisingly quiet. While the rooms are not flashy they are spic and span and nicely decorated with all the trimmings and trappings any business traveler or vacationer could want. Since there are only 104 rooms, it’s not overrun with visitors. Many travelers have applauded the staff for their friendly and helpful demeanor. As an added bonus the Norfolk Hotel is close to many shops and the night market so you will not have to travel far for entertainment, good food and consulates to pick up visas for onward journeys.

Street noise Except for the exceptionally good breakfast buffet (with service to match), this hotel felt more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star, not much better than hotels offered at half the price. It was difficult to get enough sleep, as the bed is uncomfortable (mattress too soft, sheets too hard) and there is a lot of noise coming in from the street (music at night, car horns in early morning). The electric lights shining in from the balcony don't help either. The location places the hotel within walking distance of all attractions in district 1, and is particularly close to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum and Ben Thanh market. Free Internet in room.
Nightlife Tip : There is a great jazz bar around the block on Le Loi road; very popular so come early.

Norfolk did it again. Same good service as in my previous trip. I got very quiet room again, bed is really very good in this hotel. Breakfast very good, definitely value for the price compared to other hotels near by. I haven't try the steak reastaurant yet but will do it in my next trip to Ho Chi Minh.
Restaurant Tip : Quan An Ngon in Pasteur is just few steps away. Always queue there, so beware or make booking.

Quiet; well situated, clean, comfortable, friendly staff The Norfolk was a very pleasant surprise. Well positioned, near most of the major tourist attractions, as well as being quiet, comfortable, scrupulously clean, with very attractive room furnishings. The staff were very helpful, and a nice touch was the complimentary drink of your choice in the Hotel bar. I especially appreciated being able to use their shower facilities in their recreation centre, well after check out, prior to my evening flight home. I couldn't recommend the Norfolk highly enough.
