oscar is a lovely hotel centrally located. the premium deluxe room was a good size, clean and fully airconditioned. our large window overlooks a balcony beyond which the city was visible. the bathroom was modern.
breakfast was included every morning. it was convenient but the food was average. the staff were friendly and helpful. they arranged scales and takeaway breakfast for us before our flight out.
it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely return.

Oscar Saigon is a great medium size hotel located in the heart of the city. The best thing that I like about this hotel is its wonderful and extremely friendly staff, wonderful breakfast menu and its extremely convenient location. The shopping area is so close to the hotel and so as many of the city's main attraction including the river and the Binh Thanh market. There are plenty of nice restaurants around as well. To me that's the ideal place to be in a very economic price.
Shopping Tip:
Binh Thanh market is located at a walking distance and you can find from fruits & vegetables to shoes, clothes, hand bags, handicrafts etc. In short you can find almost everything over there.

We stayed in the oscar cosy which was good for the price but there were no windows in the room. Breakfast was lovely with a great view of the city. Most staff were really helpful and nice besides one which was quite difficult and annoyed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great location, close to nice restaurants, the market, river and reasonably good for price.

we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice. both nights, there were items on the menu that were not available. for instance, there were bananas and ice cream as part of the buffet, but they could not come up with a banana split or bananas flambe. aside from this complaint, i have no complaints regarding the hotel itself (room, lobby, etc.).
