I had the chance to experience 3 different rooms during my stay at The Palace Hotel. Each time I complained I was moved, with the final move being to a room in the new wing. The Palace Hotel is a contrast of new and old. The lower old wing is, well, old. In comfort, modernity, and ambiance it is a far cry from the newly renovated main block whose rooms are to a good Western standard. Make sure you are aware of the fact that ONLY ROOMS IN THE NEW WING OFFER WIRELESS INTERNET. The hotel does have an excellent breakfast buffet each morning and that is not to be missed. Also, the hotel has a great rooftop view, and The Lemon Grass restaurant on the top is also worth taking in their lunch time specials. All in all, the location of this hotel is one of the best...the value for money is less so.
Location! Location! Location! The hotel is in the heart of District 1, within easy walking distance from the Opera, the market, and the river. You could not hope to be more central with this hotel.
The hotel has two wings, an older lower wing, and a renovated higher newer wing. The difference between the two is dramatic.
- Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel has its own spa, but a walk across the road, or around the block, will get you a massage at less than half the price of the hotel spa.

Overall, this hotel has great location, the room is a bit old, limited facilities. Moving around from this hotel is convience and Taxi are easy to get. Breakfast is good with different mix of Vietnamese and western dishes. They need to upgrade the older wing and put in wireless internest access to these rooms.
Location is great, right in the middle of down down HCM
The room is abit old and the room that I was given do not have internet access, I need to go to the lift lobby to get wireless internet

The hotels location is great, situated within a maze of department shops and in the vicinity of some great attractions. The breakfasts are vast and tasty, and the roof top bar is a must see. The rooms are modern and have all the required amenities. All in all, an excellent hotel for tourists or businessmen.
Excellent location. Very modern and worthy of at least a 4* rating. Roof top bar and breakfast were fantastic. Very friendly staff.
Rooms were slightly small (for a superior room).
- Nightlife Tip : Have a drink on the roof top bar at the Rex Hotel!

The welcoming is good, front-office nice. I think I won't come back to this hotel the next time as there are not the sercives and facilitities we expected for a 4 stars hotel. The negative point is the noise, it is a badly sound-proofed building.
Location: district 1, near river, market, restaurants, shops and facilitities.
Taxi service.
Massages.
Swimming pool was ridiculous, not a 4 stars hotel standard.
Fitness center does not exist.
Lots of noise : please absolutely avoid the 4th floor just under the restaurant.
Look too old, particularely the bathroom.
- Restaurant Tip : Left corner, across the street, little restaurant with noodles, soups or fried rice.

This hotel has such a great location. Very close to Port to take a dinner cruise. The food in the restaurant was great. Well laid breakfast. The tour desk in the hotel is very helpful. Staff is very helpful. The local market Ban Thanh is a great place to shop which is walking distance. All is great.
Great location
The old section rooms must be refurbished and no Internet in the rooms.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a river boat cruise in the evening with dinner. Also Ban Thanh market is a must visit.
Good location and foods but poor facility

When we were introduced room, my wife required changing room because it seemed so poor and noisy,up side room was Karaoke room.
But morning food was good, so we could enjoy breakfast every morning and location of this hotel was very useful for us.
Fittness facility and swiming pool was very poor.

The hotel is in a nice area and there is a lot of shopping in the area. Make sure you get a map to find your way around, even though the streets look like they run next to each other, they to bend and it's easy to get lost.
The rooms are very nice, clean and modern with great views if you can get one on the street side. The breakfast is really nice. If you want to eat the buffet at night, you will have to make a reservation before, or you won't be able to get in.
The tour agency in the lobby was wonderful, the girls there did a great job of making sure you were happy and everything ran on time.
The rooms were nice and big with a balcony overlooking the main road. Which is a nice view of the city.
The front desk staff needs to be a little more customer oriented and not be in such a hurry. Being a little more polite wouldn't hurt either.
- Shopping Tip : There is a duty free shop just a block down towards the palace from the hotel. There is also a lot of shopping in the area. There is a lot of brand name stores around, so expect to pay. There are also a lot of local vendors that have good products at good prices

Anyway, despite the very few annoying things such as the service in the Restaurants - whereby the Vietnamese restaurant on the 14th floor is an exception - great service, great food" - I only can recommend to stay at Palace both for business and leisure time, it is a good and clean place just in the middle of busy Saigon.
