Friendly staff.

If you are a first time visitor get something closer to downtown ie district one.

Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly. The breakfast is good and there is always a taxi out front. The down side is the hotel is far from district one and that is where the first time tourist wants to be. The internet access is good. Lots of computers to use on the main floor. Never used the outdoor pool but it looked ok.

the location of the hotel is situated in what Vietnam culture really is. away from the tourist attractions and the tourist driven business, this hotel was located amongst the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh. the breakfasts were prepared and delivered with high standards, the pool and gym area of top quality and the house keeping superb! the taxi service out the front of the hotel was outstanding, a taxi was ready within seconds ready to take guests where ever they wanted to go.

the only downfall to this outstanding hotel was the slow internet connection and concierge service.

This hotel will definitely be remembered for the service and the location. truly loctated within the heart of Ho Chi Minh, away from all the typical tourist driven business were the local street vendors and side store. This hotel is really a hidden gem in Vietnam. a short stroll down the street on both sides brought one to bakeries, patisseries, noodle bars and clothing outlets. everything that made the stay even more rememberable. the staff on hand were extremely helpful and welcoming, and attempted to fulfill all our request. the hotel itself, although quite basic in style and features, only proved itself worthy ten fold through its location, staff and service. at the end of the day, all we really needed was a bed to sleep in. we definitely receieved more than that and more. The Ramana Saigon is a secret well kept in Ho Chi Minh and will definitely be a hotel i revisit again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : experience true vietnamese life pass you by at this hotel.

All staffs so kind and honest.

But room is small and staff in front of hotel is so terrible.

Anyhow I stayed at this hotel with comfortable feeling even though heavy traffic jam in front of hotel was bad.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If want to move several places in the HCM, have to find other hotel in the district 1 even small hotel.

Enjoyed it there. Guest Rating: 8.7

The room was pretty good size, staff friendly aand helpful. Complimentary bottled water every day, excellent breakfast.

Porter a bit pushy about going to factory outlets, jewellery and silk factories. It was a bit hard to get rid of him.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone, meals very reasonable. They even had an Australian and New Zealand Steak restaurant, it was delicious. Toasted sandwiches for 1 was plenty for 2 to share, chips and salad were served as well. Korean menu was extensive. One little waitress was wonderful, she waited on us hand a foot. I had to give her a hug before we left. Housekeeping was excellent. Taxi service from hotel was great, cheap too.

Hotel Feature Tip : The Ramana had free computer, there was no time limit either. Turn left once out of Ramana Hotel walk down street, quite a good selection of little shops there.

Staff went out of their way to be helpful, in so many areas this made all the difference. Free wifi & broadband access, breakfast not too bad at all, and in-house meals ok.

Well there weren't too many, the first room we were given the air con was really noisy but we were given another room straight up so no real problem.

Quite happy with my stay here, the staff were very polite and helpful at all times, and its a very nice clean fairly modern hotel.

We enjoyed Amara Hotel and will recommend it to friends going to Ho Chi Minh City. And definitely we will stay there again when we return to the city.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is 30 minutes walk to the city and the walk is really good because you will see the city properly. This is the best way to enjoy it.

Though my purse was snatched in the hotel area, I would not say the place is unsafe. The snatching can happen anywhere in Vietnam. I had placed my purse in front of me thinking it was already safe and yet the snatchers were still able to get them. The snatchers were riding in a motorcycle, stopped a while in front of me, took hold of my purse then ran away with my purse.

Restaurant Tip : No Vietnamese restaurant in the vicinity of 3 to 4 blocks from the hotel

Breakfast is good.Staff are courteous and helpful. The free shuttle service to the downtown area and other select destinations is well appreciated, but the return trip is a bit of a problem.

Most Places of interest are not within walking distance. The time we went, the casino was closed.

It was a good experience for us as first timers to HCMC. We were not disappointed with the hotel we chose, and all expectations were met. Generally , the hotel was clean, nice and comfortable and not pricey. It is something to keep in your hotel list of choice and recommending to others.
