The Renaissance Hotel, located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh's cultural and business center, is arguably the finest destination for travelers who arrive here. Part of the Marriott chain which emphasizes equally the business and the casual traveler, the Renaissance has every amenity imaginable. A rooftop pool, fitness center, several meeting facilities and the widely-heralded Kabin Restaurant inside the hotel, are some of its most glowing features. The rooms are no slouch either, as each one is equipped with WiFi access, satellite T.V. and minibar, as well as a spectacular view of the Saigon River. Let alone the Renaissance's proximity to some of Saigon's most prized tourist sights, including the Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace and the Vietnam War Remnants Museum. With its vast amenities and stunning designs, it is as much a pleasure to write about the Renaissance Hotel as it is to stay in it.

Taxi man tried to squeeze a US Dollar from us even though we purchased a taxi voucher which was supposed to cover the whole journey from airport to hotel.
Tips of US $2/3 was demanded by TOP Spa afer our foot massage which cost USD 7.Left a very bad taste for me.

Our room had a damp smell so we asked to be moved and the second room was much better, overall the hotel was nice but a little dated.

I stayed in Saigon at both the Legend and the Renaissance. The Legend was newer or better maintained and lower in price, but a couple of blocks further from Dong Khai. Either is a good choice.
- Restaurant Tip : Restaurant 13, right around the corner from Renaissance. Family run operation with great food and low prices.
