Good location, very noisy

very noisy rooftop bar, kept us awake until closing, because there is an open interior courtyard and sound travels to all rooms. also, be very, very careful of the water, because the temperature is not regulated and i burned my hand in the tap water.

the hotel is old so facilities such as the pool are a little worn in comparison to a lot of 5* hotels in asian but i had no complaints about my stay. the rooms were nice, breakfasts good and the service pleasant in comparison to the rest of vietnam

Vintage and central to everything

The hotel was easy in terms of all the taxi drivers knew where it was and it was very central to the places of interest. The service is exceptional however the rooms in the old wing are rather old, recommend that stayers book a room in the new wing.

Great hotel in good location
rooftop swimming pools and gym

we booked a junior suite which was geat - a good size and nicely furnished. the hotel has been refurbished to high standard since the last time we stayed there but we were pleased to see that they had kept the superb rooftop swimming pools and gym. we were keen to breakfast on the rooftop despite the sun beating down on us. we found one of the few shady spots but it would have been nice if there had been more shade - either leafy or umbrellas - for those who don't love air conditioned interiors.

Grand dame in modernity

It was an exceedingly refreshing stay with past memories of its former settings now filled in modernity and convenience. With the room facing inside, I avoided the hustles and bustles of the traffic thus maintaining the quietness and sanctity of my stay in the modern comforts of the room. Besides, many eateries and pubs are just around the corner.

Two nice pools. In a good location.

it advertises itself as a hotel with colonial charm,but it has none. it is perfect for business travellers who need a professional environment to get work done.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I would recommend "The Majestic" if you want charming.

i would stay here again and recommnedit for its service and its excellent location for shopping. i found a coupls of great resteraunts within a short walk as the menu was good but a little pricey.
