The stay did not start out very well. We were travelling with our septugenarian parents, who were placed in a room with no walk-in shower. Upon telling the staff about this, theyimmediately arranged for a room upgrade and could not have been more helpful. Special mention to Bella and Mimosa. Fantastic stay

The Rex is a very comfortable hotel ideally located in District 1. The rooms are a good size with free wifi, beds are comfy with a choice of pillows and the staff are very friendly. I really like the way the Rex has been renovated - it's very nice and clean. My stay this time was too short but I would very much like to come back.
(As I like the hotel a lot, I must explain why I did not think it's 5-star: just because I rank it against some better hotels which I think is 5-star; in my opinion the Rex is a very good 4-star hotel).

I really enjoyed my stay at the Rex Hotel, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. As this hotel is in the middle of the city the rooms were very quiet.

I travel to Saigon frequently, and if I have to stay in a hotel (sometimes I stay with friends) then my go-to choice is the Rex. Some people may argue in favor of other hotels, but the Rex has long been my favorite. The new wing is exquisite, insanely comfortable beds, incredible bathroom, and quiet! The breakfast is amazing and the pools are a great spot to spend the afternoon. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Every major attraction/good restaurant or bar in district 1 is within 5 minutes walking distance. This was probably the 4th time I've stayed at the Rex and there will most likely be a 5th
