we enjoyed a comfortable stay in this hotel, found breakfast adequate but a little uncomfortable as the staff seemed more interested in tv than attending to the guests and the sound was overwhelming.
Travel tip:
After being forced into a tree by a couple of motor cyclists and robbed we found little help from the staff as there was no person on duty on any of the following days with a good understanding of english language. Follow up communications with the hotel was very slow and not helpful.

An old fashion hotel with strong air condition, wifi. The room surface area are acceptable, we choose superior room without any view but its no problem for traveller who go out all over the day. Staff are very polite even we check out at mid night 3 am. Around 5 mins walk to luxury shopping mall and 10-15mins walk to sightseeing point, very convenience and price are reasonable hotel.

a very comfortable stay with professional staff. except for some language problem with the room service staff, we did not encounter any problems at all. service was prompt and courteous.
clean and affordable, i felt satisfied with this hotel. would sure want to come back as the location is very near to the airport as well as the shopping centres.
Restaurant Tip:
For a Muslim traveller like me and my family, it was difficult to find halal restaurants. But the location of the halal restaurants nearby the mosque which is just less than 10 minutes walking is a plus point. Love the sight of the river Saigon from our window view.

Historical Building and not bad value for money.

this was my second time to stay at the riverside, and i like the central location and historic building. the hotel didn't pick us up at the airport despite the fact i had requested it. this is not a major problem.
the room was nice and clean enough, and the breakfast was fine with quite a bit of selection for a three-star hotel. my wife saw a cockroach in the breakfast room, (not on the food)

The overall experience was good. The single beds were large and clean. The room was cleaned everyday. The decor of the room was slightly dated. The room I stayed in had windows but it was facing the corridor of another building so we had more or less kept the curtains pulled over the windows all the time.
The complimentary breakfast was very good, even though the selections were limited. The noodles soup is a must try in the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Some walking is needed but sight seeing spots are still within walking distances. For the best day tour deals, it is still better to visit one of the travelling agencies along Phantom Nguyen Lao street.

pleasant hotel. staff very helpful.
staff however do not show much emotions - no smiles, annoyance or anything, but again this is the same with most other viet folks.
close to city centre.
Travel tip:
Cab drivers were trying to rip you off and confuce you with USD and Viet Dong charges.
Some restaurants also charge higher for foreigners.
