Pleasant hotel and enjoyed the great location
Location to the heart of the city
8.3
We enjoyed the convenient location on the Saigon River. We were within blocks of the fine shopping, museums and ample amount of great restaurants. We received a tremendous amount of help from the tour company located in the lobby. The free breakfast had a large selection of tasty food. The hotel is a larger size from the cozier types we had stayed on our trip. Because of this one loses the personal touch from the staff. They were helpful but not personal. Being unfamiliar with Ho Chi Minh City we were happy with our selection.

great location. Very friendly staff.
Faded elegance. River view room is large and comfortable
7.3
Despite being a bit shabby, this hotel represented very good value for money. The river view is nice, but the river has little to offer in the way of attreactions, so its not a great bonus. The staff are very helpful - the Deluxe rooms were also very spacious. An additional advantage is that there is a tourist information office just off the lobby.
Shopping Tip:
A well priced hotel that is very near to the best shopping in HCMC.

Great location, adequate sized rooms.
Location is the start of the shopping district

This was a pretty good hotel, especially for the price but it was a little confusing for taxi drivers. The big problem is the smoking, the place reeks of cigarette smoke and as a non smoker this was a big issue. Whenever I walked into the lobby there was somebody smoking, horrid.
Shopping Tip:
Benh Tanh market, just awesome but be aware of people grabbing you for attention.

good location(Dist.1) but old facilities....
good location, beautiful building, good service
7.3
not bad!
price is not too expensive when thinking the location of hotel.(beside Majestic Hotel, near passenger terminal and some famous department store)
Laundry SVC price is very cheap~(tip. never try to wash your sneaker, they just rub the surface of shoes not washing....)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
In the lobby there is a travel agent company...... they sell the day or night city tour, Mekong delta tour, dinner on the cruise etc
You can use it.
In my case, I booked Mekong delta tour(including good sedan, private guide and driver, good boat, good Lunch......), and it was quite satisfied.
Also, I went to Bung Dao city by ferry near hotel...... to see the beautiful beach^^;;

The location was nice - right by the river (hence the name), near shopping, parks, restaurants, museums. The room was really big - great for the price. Breakfast was good.
Restaurant Tip:
The Chinese restaurant at the Renaissance next door was fabulous! Another tip - watch out when buying bottles of alcohol on the street or cocktails at bars... A lot of the bottles are fakes! They drill out the bottom and replace the good stuff with water... or something worse! When we learned this, we only drank beer!

Good Location and compact room
friendly staff and helpful travel desk
9.7
the hotel on the Main road so if you take the river facing room you might hear the traffic noises. But all in all the experience was good.

Reasonabl comfortable hotel by the river.

Hotel restuarant is pricy and menu very limited. Surrounding restuarants are many and offers better selection and reasonable prices.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the restuarants around the hotel. Some of them are really worth your money. If you willing to pay dinner on the river boat with entertainment is worth a go.

Greaqt location at the river front
Charming hotel with colonial architecture. Big rooms and free wifi
8.3
This is one of the last few hotels of this stature in HCMC that is still affordable. French architecture inside out and still in good repair. The location is good although its at the end on Dhong Khoi - a fasionable street of upscale shops and restaurants. I read about negative reviews and find that those problems can be managed if only you learn to ask. The hotel will oblige.
The front office staff are warm and friendly. They give good directions and estimates on traveling times.

This hotel is used to be at the high end not too long ago. It is clean, roomy and elegan but some what showing its age. I would say partly because of the lighting system. it needs to be brighter.
Beside feeling its age, everything else is fine and it is a bargain at its location compare to others nearby. the staffs are helpful and professional, the beakfast is plenty and tasty, the room is big and wifi is also strong. I would stay here again.
