good hotel in central saigon backpacker district

We really appreciated the central location - convenient walk to most sights, breakfast was included and it was pretty good. Our room on the 3rd or 4th floor was quiet and the hotel is on a side street with lots of food stalls outside that seemed pretty popular with the locals which is always a good sign. A great first couple of nights after a long flight from Canada. Free internet terminals a huge plus.

Good hotel with great personnel

Warmly greeted already by the security personnel when arriving - a bit difficult to find the hotel which is located about 50 m in on a small street - and well taken care of by the reception staff. The reception staff was very helpful especially Judy, who always greeted us with a smile and helped us out with arrangements and had answers on all our questions. The room was small but adequate and clean. Very quite.
Smiley took care of us in the breakfast room and gave us a good start of the day which included a good breakfast.
The hotel and most of the staff is highly recomended.

Restaurant Tip:
Enjoy Vietnamise food eating directly from small street food stalls, there are many in hotel's halley.

Great hotel in quiet location

Our stay at Saigon mini hotel 1 was extremely comfortable and enjoyable! It's located in the heart of the tourist district so there is so much to see and do, however as it is located down a small lane the rooms are quiet and peaceful, well away from the loud noises of the street.
The staff were extremely helpful in helping us organise day trips around Saigon and a tour to the Mekong Delta. Overall the room was small, yet comfortable with aircon and very quiet.

pretty good hotel for hcmc

we had a great time at saigon mini 1--once we found it! there's a lot of alleys in the backpacker area in hcmc and we definitely got a little lost trying to find our way, but some very generous locals pointed us in the right direction. very helpful folks. all in all, it was a pretty good hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
don't go to the street food place right in front of the hotel--it was horrible and ruined our last night in hcmc!

The cheapest land tour we've ever had

On the very early morning that we arrived, we were given a complimentary room while waiting to check in at noontime. We started our 3 day tour with a full breakfast.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be sure to book all the tours thru the hotel reception as the price is always very reasonable.

We stayed here while we were in HCMC on the recommendation from a friend and were so pleased that we did.
Every guest seemed very pleased with the hotel also.
Walking distance to markets.
Were enjoyed the stay here so much that we have booked two more nights stay on our way back out of Vietnam!
