Not So Bad

After being moved from a crammed windowless room, our new room was big enough, clean, and with windows. Staff was helpful in booking inquiries, there was a lift available and the location is ideal for backpackers. The down side, on the fourth floor the ceiling/walls had rats- which you couldn't see, but certainly could hear when you went to bed. The only real problem encountered, but a sleepless night is a tough one.

Not the Best But Certainly Not the Worst

We Booked a Superior Room at Saigon Zoom, and ended up in a 4th floor windowless cave. They advertised that the room once was window, until their neighbor built against them. OK. So after a few nights we got moved to a new room (superior), which was actually quite nice. Breakfast was a bit bland, but the staff was friendly and helpful which counts for a lot.

Spent one night on a stopover. Travelling with a native speaker I was unable to gauge the staff's knowledge of english. They were however happy to assist us and move us to another room after discovering that our current toilet did not flush. We were amused by the signs in the bathroom saying "do not put toilet paper in toilets", we assume they meant the spent rolls rather than the actual paper itself. Room was clean, bathroom was large enough to navigate without shuffling around the door. If there was a negative to be had it was that the hotel was located down an alleyway that did not permit a taxi to pick us up from the front of the hotel.
