Very clean and modern hotel
The hotel is very clean, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location is prefect, it's at the center of the center.

The hotel is very clean and very modern. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to the famous Ben Thanh market and the night market. The restaurant at the hotel is very small, they have limited tables and so you have to be early otherwise you don't have seat and have to wait for other to finish first...
Nightlife Tip:
Get a map from the hotel, walk to De Tham Street, you will find lots of tourist and eating places there. But you must be brave to cross the road...

The location is very good. We can go any attractions on foot. The room is big and clean, seems newly built. However, no non-smoking rooms provided and bad smell inside lift and lobby. The staff are nice and good in English. Generally good but dont expect compare with 5-star hotel.

After some serious debating of where to stay for my trip to HCM City, I have selected Savouna based on the feedbacks from guests who have stayed there. Hotel offers clean rooms at reasonable rate, not the cheapest though, in a convenient location but nothing to write home about. Most disappointing with dining facilities and breakfast menu but made up for this shortcoming with free internet.

We stayed in Saigon for 3 nights and really enjoyed Sanouva location - everything was easily reached. The hotel itself is very new and clean, has nice bathroom facilities. However, allows smoking everywhere, thus, for non smokers not so nice feeling, i guess...Breakfast was very simple, and they served only vietnamese coffe, which was too sweet (at least for me). The staff in reception was nice and really helpfull, really tried to do their best.
Travel tip:
If you love live music, try LA Habana place. they do great live music parties and serve nice drinks and food! For beautifull dining, try la Cantine.

Stayed 5 days in Sanouva and think its a valuable place with great location (walking distance to most sights and just 3 min from Ben Tanh market), friendly and helpful staff, cleaning was good, good breakfast but maybe a bit small breakfast room (but most hotels in that area seems to be built in same size so maybe its standard size)Overall a great deal as I see it

Great modern rooms and fantastic showers. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel but for the fact that it is getting increasingly popular with tourists and so prices will be going up. The internet was good and the breakfast was ok, nothing special. Its location to the Ben Thanh Market and other restaurants was fantastic. I would stay here again.
Shopping Tip:
Ben Thanh Market is the must see and about 2-3 blocks from here, abt 5 minute walk.

A fantastic 3-day stay!
The hotel's location is near to Ben Thanh market. They have free internet access 24 hrs. There are a variety of breakfast choices however one morning the breakfast looks like leftover from previous day. The front desk staff and the concierge are very helpful and attentive. The room has good ventilation and the air-con is great, has plasma TV in the room with a wide variety of TV channels, both local and foreign.

The hotel's management is doing a great job maintaining the place but they should monitor the furnitures and fittings in the rooms regularly. The bathroom door has a cracked and one of the drawers is full of plastic bags. It'll be great if there is an extra pillow in the room.
Travel tip:
It's best to bargain and buy your souvenirs on a weekday instead of the weekend. It's cheaper as the tourist would have left the city over the weekend. Try to book you local tour with trusthworthy boutique travel agency. Saigon Tourist is pretty expensive as they always recommend private tour instead of group tour. So you end up paying more when you could have pay less for teh same tour and get the chance to meet more people. If you are interested in French patisserie and sandwiches, do visit Pat A Chou located ar 65 Hai Ba Trung Street. They have a few variety of French Baugette and delicious sandwiches. Try getting some roasted cashew nuts at Bin Thay Market in Cholon (Chinatown in District 5).
