Sanouva Hotel
A stone's throw from the market, war remenants museum and centrally located between back packer district and dong khoi. The staff were incrediably helpful.

This is a well presented hotel in an ideal location for those looking for a place close to the action. The rooms are on the smaller side, as most of this rating are in Ho Chi Minh. However, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. We were very impressed by the reception staff you were more than pleased to help us, with anything we needed. I would definitely return to Sanouva next time we're in Ho Chi Minh.

Sanouva Hotel in HCMC
quite new so rather clean
6
Decided to try out this little hotel. Staffs are quite efficient. The room is much smaller than what I expected (much smaller than what they appear on the pictures) but quite clean and operational. The breakfast serving area (you can't possibly call it a restaurant) is extremely small so on the days they happen to have good occupancy you may never get your turn to eat the breakfast that's included in the room rate. The food quality and selection are also way below average by HCMC hotel standard. Besides breakfast, there is no other dining facilities.

Savouna Hotel - Ho Chi Minh
Clean, surprisingly well-equipped for a 3-star hotel, free wi-fi access even in rooms, helpful staff, excellent location
8.3
My stay at the Sanouva was an extremely pleasant one. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean as were the bathroom and toilet. I was pleasantly surprised that the 3-star Sanouva provided free wifi access and had several cable channels available, such as HBO, Star Movies etc. The hotel is located in a good area, within walking distance to several good cafes and restaurants. The only drawback is that the single restaurant/dining area in the hotel is woefully inadequate in terms of food selection and seating capacity. However, that being said, one typically would not want to eat in the hotel when there are several good eateries in the vicinity.
Nightlife Tip:
Check out Level 23 at the Sheraton for some really good live bands that perform there.

The hotel is quite new and modified from shop lots. What I don't like is the location. No shopping place nearby.

location, rooms, price
Our three stays at the Sanouva Hotel were nice, staff great, That's good place with a budget trip. Room is clean with small window. It's quite near to Ben Tanh market. Along the street there are quite many boutiques and a few steps more is a coffe shop so you can enjoy the famous vietnam's coffee.
7.7
Overall for my staying in this hotel,I'm a quite satisfied. Good location, within walking distance is the Ben Tanh market. The famous cheep market for Vietnam's souvenir et all. Easy to get taxi. However this hotel is a small hotel, room is small, and breakfast is limited.

Comfortable and Homey Hotel
- Friendly Hotel Staff
- Cozy room
- Very close to ben tanh market
- Free internet access
9.3
Me and my best friend stayed in Sanouva Hotel for 3 nights end of May 2010. I love the smell of incense at the lobby hotel. The staff was also very friendly even though they can't speak English pretty well. They can accommodate our need pretty well, from changing our double room to twin, give us direction (including free copy of street map) and give us late check out.
Our room was in 4th floor and it was very comfortable, homey and clean although not spacious enough.
The location of this hotel is marvelous, you can easily find good food near the hotel (including pork Vietnamese banh mi in front of the hotel, which is very delicious and cheap).
Sanouva hotel also very close to Ben Tanh market (where you can find everything in good price especially in the morning and afternoon).
So, overall our last trip to Ho Chi Minh was very enjoyable. Thanks to Sanouva Hotel and their great staff. Definitely going back to that hotel when we visit Ho Chi Minh in the future.

Sanouva Hotel - clean / quiet / well located
clean, quite and well located (2 mn walk from Benh Thanh market)
Helpful staff
quiet hotel
7.7
Hotel is very clean and quiet although central, like 2mn walk from Benh Thanh Market
Staff english is good and very helpful
Breakfast is a big disappointment as it was the same menu every morning limited to 6 or 7 items maximum
Shower door was poorly constructed so water kept pouring on toilet floor
Apart from these 2 points above, no complaint
Restaurant Tip:
Quanh An Ngon is deemed as THE restaurant in HCM by various foreign TV news / magazines
However; it is overrated as when i came there:
- settings was very hot
- staff serving me could not speak english
- food was improperly served (missing items) and average tasting
- service in general was miserable

Sanouva Hotel @ Ho Chi Min
The staffs are very helpful and the room is new and very clean. It is in the rim of the city, Ben Tanh market is just 5 minutes walk away, very convenient. The breakfast was pretty good, though not a lot of choice, but good enough for me.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The tour booked from the hotel wasn't expensive at all, but if you want chepaer option, you can book directly from tour agent.

The only disadvantage I would mention about this hotel is the location. In spite of being reasonably near the centre and attractions, it was on a busy and ugly street. If I had known I would have preferred to stay in a hotel in the cute little streets full of restaurants and shops. Other than that, the hotel is good and clean.
Travel tip:
There are many hotels in the area of the Sihn Tourist and Kim Travel, in nice small streets full of shops and cosy restaurants.
