We have booked a deluxe room. On the first night, the hotel has given us a corridor deluxe room and people walking at the corridor can peep into the window facing the corridor. We have asked for a change of room and this was done on the second day of our stay. This is a clean hotel with good customer service, the staff always serve you with a smile. The only thing cons of this hotel is that the hot water flow is not regular in the morning. This hotel is good for shopping, just opposite Ben Thanh market and 5 mins walk to Saigon Square. 10 mins walk to Pham Ngu Lao, the backpackers area where you can book cheap tour to tour around Ho Chi Minh.

Great location but small rooms
There is a several kind of foods on breakfast if compare the same rate with other hotels.
7.3
The superior room was too small for us, some european guys had asked to change the room because the bed also small for them. My room was bad because too old air conditioner and we could not use the cold water in the bathtub. Perhaps, we paid the super low rate to Agoda then, the hotel just provided this room for us.
But this hotel has a good location for shopping because it is close to Binh Thanh market and you can see the night market besides this market too. Meanwhile, you can walk to the shopping center around 5-10 min.

nice location
close to the night market

rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good quality and with different options.
The key point of this hotel is the location, easy to find, walking distance to the market and places of interest and most of all close to the night market that is fun!

Convenience and Value for Money
Proximity to shopping areas
8.7
Our de luxe room was spacious, clean and away from the street noise. Breakfast served was very good with many choices. Since the place is just a few meters away from Ben Thanh market and Saigon Square, we had plenty of time to shop and tour the city.
Hotel customer service was really satisfactory. They attended to our needs with smiles on their faces. There was no language barrier as almost all some English communication skills.
Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Great For the First Time visitor!
Clean, Close to main market!
9.3
This was probably the best value for your money. I paid only and got upgraded for no additional charge. The Sauna and spa was great but a little expensive. But all in all the best place i stayed so far in Ho Chi Minh. ( i stayed at 4 other hotels around Ben Thanh)

Great location
Location, location, location
8.3
Tan Hai Long Hotel & Spa is located very close to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, on Le Lai street - just 2 minutes walk away from the famous Ben Tahn market. There's the Pham Ngu Lau street nearby (about 5-10 minutes walk) where most of the trips to other cities start from.
The room is quite small and have no windows, but we are not there to stay in the room so it's okay. The room is very clean & tidy.
Breakfast is good although it can get crowded in the breakfast hour.
The staff are very helpful and all of them can speak english.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel has two entrances - the front to Le Lai street, and the back (forgot the name of the street). Going to Ben Tahn market at night is easier from the back entrance.

Great place for the price!!
Proximity to Ben Thanh market
9.7
we booked 3 de luxe rooms and got our requested rooms at the higher floors so we were never bothered by the noise on the street level. the rooms are spacious and very clean. hotel people are very nice and accomodating. breakfast food was very good, never running out as refills were continuous. loved their pate and coffee and their pho and even their halal food corner.
will definitely stay in that hotel again.
Travel tip:
Be wary of their taxi services. Even some drivers of trusted Vinasun taxis will take you for a ride!!
Never stop haggling (35 to 50%) when shopping special in the night market..prices are higher than daytime prices inside the market.
On food..Pho and Vietnamese sandwich are a MUST EAT food. They are really very good.

Decent hotel with great service
7.3
stayed there upon the recommendation of a friend who works in saigon. he said it's one of the better hotels in that it's safe and clean, unlike many of the others in town. the room was a bit old and worn but clean. it was fine for a place to crash at night. and the staff and service were good.
