Convenient location, Hotal staff always eager to help, Champagne breakfast with a very diverse spread, Cleanliness, Bar with some gorgeous wines

Breakfast is charged separately. Include it in the room charges

Its a nice hotel with a good location. Five star facilities and services at a fraction of cost. I really liked the staff who are warm and friendly and always on a lookout to serve you. Good for holidays or business.

Shopping Tip : The night market nearby is worth a visit. And dont forget to visit the British Council. Major attractions are in the walkable distance.

Great central location. Excellent service. Good rooms.

Can't think of any weaknesses

This hotel provides a very calm and professional standard of service that is a welcome balance to the frantic noise and activity that greets first time visitors to Saigon. We took the upgrade to use the hotel's executive club, where we received excellent service and a high standard of refreshments were provided. The staff were all extremely helpful.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We recommend the Mekong Delta day trip. Although an early start, well worth it

We were very impressed with the style and the culture of the staff who were obviously very well trained and spoke very good english. They were extremely polite, helpful and courteous and knowledgeable about the site seeing locations that should be enjoyed by visitors. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the Gourmet Shop was a very good idea for a quick snack.

Rooms whilst spacious and pleasant could do with a modernisation.

Travel tip : La Camargue, 191 Hai Ba Trung Street, District 3, HCMC. Vietnam an excellent French Restaurant with wide selection of international wines and champagnes. Taxi to location very cheap.

Clean, smart rooms, great service, business centregood, rooftop bar and pool nice with great views. Location great, 5 mins cab to all the action or 15 min walk.

I was not there on business so dressed scruffily and was looked at slightly oddly but that was it.

Clean, smart rooms, great service, business centre good, rooftop bar and pool nice with great views. Location great, 5 mins cab to all the action or 15 min walk. Get a high up room, views lovely. Beds comfy and rooms pitch black in the am. Nice bar on the 18th floor andpool lovely at night. I was not there on business so dressed scruffily and was looked at slightly oddly but that was it. Great stay though but its not cheap. the taxi was n e class merc if only2 of you and the time the shuttle went without us the hotel ordered a cab and paid for it. Good service. Breakfast fantastic, big selection.

Travel tip : Go to the cu chi tunnels, really cool place, its tight but your only in there forawhile. You get shown the traps, weapons, tunnels its about an hour away and less than 2 hour tour. you can fire ak47s at a dollar a bullet and other weapons on a fixed mount so safe with trained officials at targets not animals! go to the Q bar, smart bar/club. the hawker stalls/restaurants are fantastic. war museum is good but be prepared for grapgic photos on the chemical side. hmc is awesome and this hotel is a great plcae to do it from.

"not-so-" fresh off the plane from Washington DC, the Sofitel Saigon Plaza was a welcome place to rest - very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, beautiful lobby, kind staff. Well-located for walking to key attractions like the market and Reunification Palace.

staff are helpful and friendly

restaurants seems not attractive

If you don't want to pay too much but still want to have certain standard of services and facilities of 5-star hotel, Sofitel Saigon is the one. It is not located right at the centre of the city yet still convenient, 15 minutes walk to the Opera House. It's shuttle bus is the most impressive amoung all. What they called shuttle bus is actually a E-class Mercedeze. They will take you shopping for free.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't take the cyclos on the street. If you really want to, agree the fare with the driver but you get on. I was asked for one million Dongs for a 10-minute ride.

Location.

Bed had feather duvet which was HOT but lacked a sheet to sleep under.

First,I was afraid that it would be somewhat off the beaten path, but walking was easy and the hotel provides a shuttle service to market and "Tax" Shopping center which is across the street from the Rex hotel (stop here for a drink on roof-top). Taxi to hotel from airport at the airport taxi desk is $13 US so no need to request hotel transportation. Also, nice room.

Nice room, nice staff. Toilet flush noise is silent enough not to disturb other rooms.

A little bit far away from city center area, though you can reach there within 10 minutes on foot.

At first Agoda said it should be a double bed room but when I asked them a twin bed room at the time of check in, they were so kind to arrange it with no conditions. The room was clean, not any noisy, with city view and fine amenities, rapid internet connection to your laptop on wire in the room. Price rather reasonable.

Although i only had 36 hours of business trip to Ho Chi Minh City - did i find Sofitel as 'my home' already after 5 min. of stay.

What an experience to visit this nice Hotel. High standard, top top service by staff all over. Nice swimming pool on top of the building with a beautiful view over the city. The bar secured via live music, a nice 'feeling at home'. All staff very very nice and polite - securing me the best stay under my tour in far-east. thx to all staff for a unforgettable visit. thx. Kim

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : As i only stayed for one night - it was obvious to visit the center of Ho Chi Minh, near the church. Found nice shopping to a cheap price. could walk in the city without fear.

This hotel has great service, is clean, and has many amenities.

No breakfast included.

We stayed in 4 hotels this past trip and this was by far our favorite. The rooms are excellent. Nice beds, A/C, good bathroom, and great service from the staff. There is a fitness center w/classes offered for free. Finally, there is a pool on top w/a great view of Saigon. The only thing that would have made this perfect is a complimentary breakfast (not part of this 5 star deal).

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Not in the heart of downtown but can easily walk to most attractions and they have a shuttle several times a day. It's quiet in part because of the location.

The receptionists were polite and courteous

The buns were dry and tasteless

Had a great stay at this hotel... the service was excellent and the airport pick-up/drop-off was very convenient. Not in District 1, however, there is the free bus service every half an hour and with the taxi's being so cheap, it makes it a good location. Restaurants served lovely food for very good prices

The Hotel room, facilities and restaurant are good

Good hotel but definately not value for money

The hotel is situated far from the heart of the city and you always need a taxi in order to visit the 1st district with its attractions. But the hotel offers a shuttle service to downtown which does not operate between 1pm and 4pm.

We stay here whenever we can, (meaning when we can get a good rate). The lobby is large, rooms are nice, big. The staff is very professional and helpful. They greet guests in French, which I am not familiar with, but it's ok. Location is a bit far from the airport, but not an issue.

Travel tip : If you want to try Pho (a noodle soup), Pho Hoa at Pasture is the best.

What I like about this hotel is the room are fairly big and clean. The lobby is also large and elegant. The staff is professional, but I felt strange when they greet the guests in French. The location is a bit far from the airport and town, but not a problem. Would love to stay there again whenever possible.

Restaurant Tip : Camargue, a French restaurant in 191 Hai Ba Trung is recommended.
