we enjoyed our stay and would return again if we visit ho chi minh again.
the room was very comfortable and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. rooftop pool was an added bonus.
still room for improvement though. bathroom ceiling started leaking on our first night (of 3 nights) there. the leak was directly beside the spotlight above the washbasin (seemed rather dangerous since it was near an electrical circuit). the problem was finally fixed only after the second attempt, so we didn't have the problem for our 3rd night.

this was our first use of club facilities in a hotel. we loved it pampered and eat anytime of the day. staff who were eager to help from 6am to 10am. the breakfast was small but delicious although possibly a wider range of fruit. you have the choice of the mai breakfast area which had a huge array of fruit ceeal etc etc etc. when we went up to the club room the girls quizzed us and wanted to know why we hadn't had breakfast with them. for us it was a special experience and we shall look for club facilities in other hotels when we stay. special thanks to the girls in the club room for all the attention and care you gave us

very happy with the stay. surprise to find some little welcome foods every night. pools is big but not much cover. internet is very slow and not recommended for heavy use.
Travel tip:
Buy land tour from outside tour agency for better rate. Coffee bean 2 block away.

Twin beds are single beds! The room is very nice but the water in the pool is very cold (even in Vietnam) the service is excellent. It's more a business hotel. It's a little overpriced

Great Hotel, lovely surrounds and excellent staff
Pool Bar, Jasmine, Oil Burners in Halls, Candles at enterance in the evenings, Apples at elevators, great friendly service

Stayed at Sofitel Saigon in June and July 2011...The service impeccable both times,
Both levels we stayed(14)&(4)were fantastic and the L'occotain products are a nice touch.
A lovely area close to lots of things and taxis very accessible.
It was great and I look forward to the next visit :)
Restaurant Tip:
Around the corner is some amazing places to eat, especially 'The Sushi Bar' highly recommend...also across the road there is a pizza place that do amazing wood fired pizzas 5*****

The hotel is located in the heart of Hochiminh, 5minutes walk to the diamond mall and church, 5minute drive to Opera. The hotel is located in District one, besides no night market, but u can go to Saigon market by taxi around 5minute travel time.

location is great. hotel is nice. room also nice but a bit smaller than the other 5-stars hotels I've stayed before. i also like the gourmet downstairs.
