Great Luxury Hotel located in quiet part of Dist 1
Comfortable big beds, beautiful pool, great buffet breakfast.

The Sofitel is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are designed nicely and there is a nice black and purple theme. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection of foods available and different cuisines. Pool is beautiful.
Only down side is the bathroom. Water leaked all over the floor when I had a shower. The room was cleaned every day so wasn't too much of a problem.

I am extremely pleased with my stay at Sofitel. The staff were very helpful and didn't rush any request or querry we had. The rooms were very cosy and everything looked very clean. The highlight of our stay was The Club Lounge. The hostesses were very warm and friendly. The standard of drinks were of a high level and the quantity and variety of snacks available was superb. The only setback being an unwanted guest in our room in the shape of a cockroach, but the staff were very apologetic. This was a minor blip it what was an enjoyable stay.

Hit and miss

Fell quite a bit short of a 5* hotel, rooms were very nice but a bit dark, service was very hit and miss. Some staff were excellent, others were not. Breakfast a little disappointing for a French chain but ok, very little aircon in the gym so it was almost unbearable to do any significant workout, traffic outside woke us every day around 6am even though Sofitel isn't that central in Saigon.
