Great value for the Agoda promo!
Rooms were clean, location was convienient, and value is good for family stay

First trip to HCMC with my young 8 month, wife and grandma. Normally, I'm at the business hotel like , but because of the young child, we needed kitchen to prepare baby food, water, etc, had to look for accomodation that met family standard. This was far better than i expected out of service appartment. It was clean, convienient city location, and friendly staff.

Somerset apartments Ho Chi Minh City (8A NguyenBinh Khiem Street, in District 1) are wonderful. Stayed there in a 2 bedroom apartment with my family. From check in through to check out, this place is fantastic. The apartment is so spacious and cheaper or equivalent to much smaller hotel rooms in HCMC.
The pool is such a welcome relief at the end of a day wandering around this seriously good and crazy city! Lounging around in the apartment with A/C going is also most welcome.
Unless breakfast is included in your apartment rate, give it a miss. Much better options out in the city with french style patisseries, etc.
The location is good. Taxi rides everywhere are cheap. Make sure you try and stick to the metered taxis (branded as Mai Linh or Vinasun) or otherwise ensure you negotiate the price with the taxi driver before you get in if you use an unmetered taxi.
Staff here are great. They really try hard and do well to please their guests. They speak enough English for communication to be very good.
I will definitely return to Somerset apartments if I visit HCMC again and will explore using this serviced apartment chain when travelling with my family to other destinations....quality!

Enjoyable, relaxed comfortable experience. The self-catering apartments are older style and very spacious. The apartments cater for many expat families, which means that there are lots of kids around (sometimes quite noisily) enjoying the pool, but it was quite good-natured. We knew this might be the case, when we booked it. We also knew that it was 30 mins walk from most of the main attractions in Saigon. Would probably choose a more centrally located hotel on a future trip. Food at hotel was reasonably priced, though limited range. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
