Comfort in the heart of District 1

Small but nice Colonial era designed hotel. Very friendly staff and a reasonable set breakfast is included. The place is a little old & run down and the rooms a little dark (not all rooms have windows.) However, the location is fantastic and the staff are really helpful.

Not as clean as expected of a hotel.

During booking the photo shows with window, but actual was not. If walk around the room barefooted, the sole becomes black, so not as clean as expected. The hair in the bath tub was not cleared causing clogged, have to clear it ourselves. The safe in the cupboard cannot be locked. There was a layer dust on the wire protruding from the wall. Other than that it is OK with that kind of price.

This hotel is full of character, has very attentive and friendly helpful staff and is brilliantly situated in the heart of District 1. We had a great stay at The Spring Hotel because of these features. It has few rooms so each guest is important to them. We would happily recommend it.

good central hotel, within walking distance of the river and most museums & places of interest. good wifi, good breakfast, and a little of 'old world charm'. some rooms without windows but that is normal in hcmc, and reasonably quiet at night.
