Worth the price

Some unexpected matter popped up during our check in and we were requested to pay extra. However, Agoda later resolved that well. Anyway good location but be prepared for noisy traffic that could be heard even at late night and early morning. Ideal location in District 1, can easily walk to Ben Thanh Market. Simple but sufficient breakfast at the hotel to start the day with.
Shopping Tip:
When you shop at Ben Thanh Market, you must bargain. A discount of 50-70% is possible! If you do not bargain, you may find yourselves buying at a much higher price as you walk along. However, some vendors there may be rude. Just try to avoid buying/ bargaining with those. Had a bad experience with one but of course, there are nice vendors around too.

This hotel was changed to Asian Ruby chain, the room was very comfortable and good size, exactly what we booked. Hotel staff were very friendly. Overall very good hotel.

me and my friends stayed in this hotel by agoda booking on 10-13 dec 2011. this was our 1st trip to vietnam. i booked 2 rooms, and share room with one of my friend. the pricing is affordable and the food is ok.it just difficult to find halal food for moslem there, because one of my friend is moslem. better in breakfast menu the staff label which food is halal to make it easy for customer.
i also suggest to inform on line customer that the hotel is currently change name to asian ruby 4? because at that time it make us and the taxi driver confuse.
Restaurant Tip:
if you moslem and cant speak good english, better to ask staff that can speak malay which food is halal/no pork. the staff sometimes forget to give you mineral water at your room, you better ask that at the restaurant and bring your own bottle.

At the time of check in, the room without window was allocated in spite of my booking a room with window, which, I complained and later, by waiting for half an hour, they allocated me the room at higher floor with window.
I'm afraid that this kind of attitude of the hotel is not fair and honest.
Since in Vietnam, there are many budget hotels carry the rooms without window and I really appreciate the agoda's booking system to specify
with window or without window so that I can complain, if the actual room is different from the one booked. On top of this, it took quite some time for the hotel to pass me the key of the room after entering into the room, as they explained that the master key was brought back by the room service staff and they only have master key. Later, they make a new key to pass to me. In general, the staff except one or two, of the hotel is not friendly at all. One of the receptionist even complained to me that I didn't return the key, although the key had not given to me.
The good thing of this hotel is variety of breakfast. That's all.
I sent a pick up service request by e mail, which was not taken care of, at all. Since I'm not satisfied with this hotel, I don't recommend any type of travelers.
Shopping Tip:
At a walking distance, there is a wet market.

We arrived very very late. Staffs are very friendly and helpful to provide us information of next day tour. Breakfast is o.k even we came down for a very very early breakfast. Staffs are fluent in English. They are able to provide us all info that we need are the neighborhood. We will stay again.

Great location with big rooms

We stayed in the suite room which is big but cheap after the discounts. The hotel had just renovated the rooms and the only setback is that they have only one lift.
Location is good near Benh thanh market. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay at this 3-star hotel in city centre. Spacious air-conditioned room, quiet, clean, nicely serviced. Buffet breakfast provided wide variety of western and local cuisine including PHO :-), best to come down after 8:00AM for more relaxed environment and ample seating. Vietcom bank next door for currency exchange. Hotel conveniently arranges excursion tours to Mekong, etc. Major city sites and nice parks within walking distance.
