I stay here regularly. It is a good no frills basic hotel. Clean and comfortable if you like hard beds. If you are looking for an American style hammock soft bed, go somewhere else. Staff are not gushing and professionally pleasant, but they are efficient, kind and friendly. Westerners should not expect the, American "have a great day", or "how was your day" culture in Asia. Their's is a respectful and genuine culture, sometimes mistaken as unfriendly. There is an enormous amount of pool activity at the hotel, and some people may be bothered by the noise from children and adults alike splashing around the place. Thankfully it all finishes before 10pm. Try to get a room that does not face into the internal courtyard, because that is where all the noise comes from. Otherwise, its a great hotel.

Do not stay at this hotel
After staying at many hotels around the world in all sorts of conditions including poverty stricken areas, this would be the worst hotel experience ever. The photos on the web are not the rooms, they do not want families there, they do not want foreigners there (we are Australian). The rooms remind me of an old run down pub room. The front desk service is appalling. The ladies at front desk constantly mocked us when checking in. They can't or won't supply 2 double beds in one room. If you are a family of 4 they will make you take 2 rooms. They knew we were a family of 4, they gave us 2 pillows, 2 towels, 2 cups but no kettle and that's just the start. Oh yeah the outdoor pool - if you like swimming with band aids and nappy filled children, then this is the pool for you, this pool is the locals swimming lessons pool it is constantly taken up by lots of lessons. The breakfast looked great, but I didn't get to try it, they would only give me 2 vouchers as I only occupied 1 room. When checking out, they asked "how was your stay?" I said "worst experience ever, absolute crap hotel and service" he replied "thank you and smiled"
