Very close to the famous banh tinh market. Only the breakfast area very small seating.
Shopping Tip:
If you,re on a budget, Banh Thinh market and the surrounding shop is good enough. Just be prepared mentally to fight to very persistent sellers in the market. If you are not the bargaining type, buy at the fixed price shops with blue dressed salesgirls.

they started to serve some dishes more than one hour later their breakfast time started, so choice was very limited for us. room was ok, not so spacious, but considering the location and price, it is reasonable. staff at check-in was very polite.

typical for this price range. not bad, not remarkable either. no safe in the room i stayed in, despite what was promised.
ps: the front desk young lady needs a total attitude adjustment. it's ok to smile now and then, really. if you don't like your job, pretend you do. that's actually part of your job. there are plenty of smart, hard-working local young people who would love your job, actually. and another tip: there's no need to be abrupt and rude when somebody asks you a question, even if it may seem like a stupid one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The oldest Hindu temple in Saigon is literally one block away on Truong Dinh. They love visitors and are friendly. It's a hidden gem in the middle of Saigon. Just be polite, courteous, and ask before taking photos.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile

We had two lovely adjoining rooms. The master with a small balcony overlooking the bustling street below. These rooms were clean and extremely well appointed.
Shopping Tip:
The Asian Ruby 2 is located within a short walk of the Ben Thanh Market.

We had a great stay at the Asian Ruby 2. It is great value, we later stayed at a popular 5 star hotel which was great but it was 5 times the price and didn't provide that much more.
It is in a great location and not very noisy at night.
The breakfast was much more than we expected and the staff were great. There was free internet available and the rooms were lovely and clean with comfortable beds.
I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Saigon as oppose to the much more expensive hotels that are available 5 minutes down the street.
Shopping Tip:
Don't shop at the Ben Thanh Markets that are next to the hotel - they are great at night time for a meal, but if you want to find the same products and a lower price and with less pushy sellers, walk across the main road and towards the opera house and find the Saigon Square Markets - the same area but much better.
