very nice and pleasant hotel.
very near ben thanh market and for muslims, there is a halal restaurant very nearby with good food.

The staff was friendly, the location was perfect and the room was very clean and nice. I strongly recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to stay near Ben thanh market.

rooms were very clean and maintained that way for the stay. Front desk service was ok. Ok value for money and well located

My deluxe room was not available even though I had booked and confirmed and paid for room 4 months earlier.Another poor point was the breafast it was basically eneatable and at the price was well below par.

Clean tidy hotel, great location

Stopped in this hotel for the last night just to take a shower before departing for home. I can only comment on the room we had and also the location, didnt stop for breakfast or actually sleep in the bed.
Location fantasic, right next to the main market and also walking distance to both the nicer parts and backpacker district of HCMC.
If you can i would pay extra for a superior room.

Great location but small rooms

Just take 30 minutes from the airport by taxi (take Vinasun/ Mai Linh taxi for save) and the hotel location was easy to find. The staff can speak English so it make us easy for asking something we need. Near Ben Thanh market just 5 minutes walk. Someday if I visit I will choose this hotel again.
Shopping Tip:
Near to Benh Tanh market,it just take 5 minutes by walk. We went to other places (like The Cathedral, Post office)by Vinasun taxi

We were upgraded to the Asian Ruby 3 as they were booked out and no room available for us on our return from Mekong Delta Tour, which was excellent and not to be missed. We did not have breakfast as we left early however they packed us a breakfast to take which was very nice of them. Overal a nice place to stay in bustling Ho Chi Minh.

this was my first trip in vietnam, i have been to many hotels around the world. during my trip around vietnam, i also stayed at 6 hotels from nth vietnam down to the south.
asian ruby 2 was the best hotel i have ever stayed in.
i have never recieved such excellent service from friendly staff. always offered to help. amentities were excellent, close to the ben thanh market.
definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in saigon.

We were upgraded to their Number 3 Hotel
free upgrade on arrival, clean rooms, complimentary water each day

it is hard to review asian ruby 2 hotel as on arrival we were escorted to asian ruby 3 hotel for a free upgrade. the staff at the reception counter were very kind and efficient though and made sure we were transfered without a hitch. we thought this hotel was great. good location and nice, neat, clean rooms. the fire bell that went off in the middle of the night (false alarm) wasn't too cool.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
zoo inside the botanical gardens - do not go! this is a horrible experience where animals are poorly treated and visitors show no respect for the animals. definately do not take children to this zoo.

Bustling Ho Chi Minh nCity
Position, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

The majority of hotels in Ho Chi Minh particularly in this price range are adequate for what you need. The rooms are small at times and breakfast areas may double as reception during the day. Overall for what we paid this hotel was good and central to exploring the city, quiet which is imprtent in a city of this size with so many motor bikes.
Shopping Tip:
Take a deep breathe and inch your way across the busy streets remembering the vietnamese are skilled at avoiding us tourists.

Great location but poor service

It's a relatively new hotel just a street away from the Ben Thanh market with relatively bigger room and good bathroom facilities. In particular, I enjoyed the bathing facilities; generally for the price we've paid, we were quite satisfied on the over all.
