Asia Ruby 2 is a value for money hotel. good location...just a few minutes from minutes from ben thanh market. The breakfast even with limited choice especially for muslim but good enough to start your day. The location also near to Halal Restaurant VN Halal. The room spacious but a little bit noisy. Definitely recommend to everybody looking for budget hotel and not really care about 5 star facilities.

Lobby pleasant, room clean. A bit noisy because of traffic. Best location next to BenTanh Market, the place for day & night bargain in HCM. You can find plenty of food in this area as well. All hotel rooms are equiped with high speed WiFi & downstairs also have a free PC for you to access Internet. The staffs not well equip with knowledge of HCM interesting places, though helpful. The breakfast menu is fantastic to our liking even though is limited in selection. The dining place is too cramp & table are limited, sometimes have to wait for your turn to find a place. Overall it is a pleasant stay for us.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Can get cheaper tour rate elsewhere.

come out of the hotel turn right and go to pasteur street, fabulous restaurant that looks very expensive but is actually very cheap 5 bucks for good quality meal in very crowded popular restaurant

Very well worth it

It was very clean, the bathroom was very nice, the receptionists and especially the bellboys were very friendly. We booked the bigger room with balcony for three nights and were very pleased with it. The room was made up everyday, towels were changed everyday. The breakfast eventhough limited in choices but tasted delicious especially the pho (vietnamese noodle style), and they did change the menu everyday except for the pho (which I was glad they did serve it every morning) and the standard bread (they provided toaster) and fruit. The Vietnamese coffee was a nice touch for my morning starter. The hotel's very close to Ben Thanh market, only about 5 minute walk. And at night when other stores are already closed, you can go to the night market which is only a few steps away from the hotel. You can get cheap stuffs there (mind you bargaining skill is a must here) and very nice food and beer (Saigon beer red label was my preferance). Overall, my stay at Asian Ruby 2 hotel was enjoyable and I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. We also booked a 1 day tour to Cao Dai temple and Cu Chi tunnel for about US$12 per person (group tour), and we were very pleased with it.
Travel tip:
I suggest not to go around by rickshaws, most of the drivers will try to rip off tourists

Good Buy for Budget Hotel!

Worth buying for budget hotel. Small but clean! As this is a small & budget hotel, there's no cafetaria but breakfast was provided at the small dining area. The food was not too bad but need to ensure it is HALAL before consumed! Very good location and convenient for shoppers! If you intend to shop till you drop ... this is a good buy!
Shopping Tip:
very near to ban than market & night bazaar (every night). worth for shoppers! no halal food at this location! need to walk to halal rest. about 20 - 30 mins which located nearby bong sen hotel!

The Asian Ruby 2 hotel is in an excellent location and easy to find. The Ben Thanh Market and Street Night Market are right around the corner. The main tourist attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. ie. Opera House, Presidential Palace, Cathedral, Post Office, etc. The Room was cosy but comfortable and clean. The deluxe room had a balcony facing onto the street. The breakfast menu was small and the dining area was too small with all hotel guests fighting for a spot at the table at the same time...
Overall it was a nice place to stay and would highly consider staying here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There are so many places to go and things to see in this bustling city and surrounding areas. Allow as many days as you can to avoid being disappointed.

great small hotel serviced by friendly helpful staff that are always smiling. we stayed on the second floor with a balcony, a little noisy however got too see ho chi minh wake up. bathroom big with big bathtub the only negative was the ants in the room but with a little help from the housekeepers they were gone. location amazing smack bang near ben thanh and other local stalls selling local produce. .
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
TRY phi phi taylor if you are looking for resonable priced suits with quality and the spa near that..

upgraded to asian ruby 3
very clean room and bathroom with bath, clean extremely comfortable bed, flat screen tv with many channels

we booked late at night the asian ruby 2 and arrived early next morning. it was explained that there were no rooms available due to late booking, and we were upgraded for free to asian ruby 3, they also provided a taxi free of charge and the asian ruby 3 turned about to be a great place to stay. So, although we did not actualy stay at ruby 2 they handled our booking very well and we would return to the asian ruby group of hotels
