Great hotel with a homely environment

This is my third return visits to Vuong Quang. The staff recognizes me whenever I return to stay in the hotel. With a small size staff, you get very personable service here. Do not be surprised if they addressed you by name by your second visit.
The reception, hotel room, dining and general areas are clean as usual.
Like the previous stay, I had some meals at the hotel restaurant. This time, I also had friends joining me for a lunch. The food remains to be great and of good value. We agreed that it had a touch of the "home-cooked food" taste and feel.

i arrived at night and seems like the cab driver didn't know how to get to the hotel. if you plan to take a cab from the airport, might as well ask the hotel to pick u up. charges apply.

Ideal for late flight in and early departure

Arrived at 22:15 and check-in was really prompt.
The standard room was small, but well lit, bright and really clean. Exceptional value for $ NZD (which included a very basic breakfast)
Room had flat screen tv, mini fridge, jug (kettle) and cups and saucers, but dont recall there being any actual tea/coffee, but we had our own supply so not a problem.
Big, red neon sign outside the window on front of the hotel and a little late/early noise activity outside at street level, but we slept really well.
Would definately stay here again for an early departure from Ho Chi Minh, as it's very close to airport.
Travel tip:
Rather than taking a taxi at the arrivals level, we went up to the second floor and got a Vinasun taxi who was dropping someone off at departure. Their taxis are metered and it cost 62,000 to our hotel which was located close to the airport. There are a few dodgy taxi's company's around but we recommend using Vinasun.

not far from the airport, but neither in a walk distance. this distance could be a little embarrassing for a taxi, so they may cost more than it should be.
the staffs are very kind and nice.
the rooms are clean, but you have to choose between a window or the noise from the street.

I had an enjoyable one night stay. I landed at 1:55am and arranged airport pick up service. The driver was courteous and on time. The room was small but very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone who needs a room near the airport.

Location great as it suits my business purpose of being very near to the airport. Staff is very friendly though I have stayed there before and they recognized me. The restaurant, if you can call it that, is basically a small dining area but the kitchen staff can produced great and very tasty meals. It would suit most pockets although it is slighly higher in prce compared to street foods.

it was a friend who had traveled to ho chi minh city before that introduced me to vuong quang hotel. at that time, i was usually staying at 4- or 5-stars hotels in district 1. i tried booking online through agoda and found the price very, very reasonable though i booked the deluxe or executive type rooms.
it is very convenient being near to the airport. there is a local restaurant just next door that serves great and reasonable priced food. the seafood is great and fresh! the waiting staff is mostly friendly but speak only vietnamese. so be prepared to venture and even if you picked something different to what you have in mind, it will still come out pretty decent and you may be surprised even!
