Very well located next to a shopping centre, near a market with great friendly staff. The room is large, clean and comfortable.
There is no free broadband service in the room but that is ok as long as one is not on a working vacation !
Windsor Plaza is well located within the heart of Chinatown which has plenty for tourists to see and experience. Just next door to the hotel is a plaza with 3 floors of food and shopping. There are great shops on the 3rd floor for survenirs and wood carvings. The wet market is also a great place to buy local fruits and An Dong market which is a few minutes walk away is a fun place to visit to mingle with the locals and shop for clothes and cloths. Just be prepared to squeeze between very narrow walkways. It promises to be a great experience. The hotel staff are all very friendly and are most willing to help and provide useful information. In all, a good hotel with a good location!
Shopping Tip : Walk to An Dong market for the experience. Go to the 3rd floor of plaza for good Vietnamese wood beads. Take a cab (US$3) to Ben Thanh for good deals on shoes, cloths, coffee and everything Vietnamese!

-Clean and spacious room.
-Good facilities : gym, sauna and pool.
-Good shuttle bus service.
-Convenience of shopping at the supermarket downstair.
-Some renovations work going on.
-Some prostitutes solicits customer at the opposite of the hotel.
-Expensive internet facilities.
I'm generally happy with the hotel , except that the price is on the high side .When I wanted to confirm my flight of departure , the staff unable to do so for me saying that it was a Sunday !The internet facilities is very expensive and seem no cyber cafe nearby . On my first day of stay , there is awful smell in the room .I do not know it's from air-cond or carpet . If not because of the price , it will definitely my first choice in hcmc.
Restaurant Tip : A Restaurant nearby called Mon Hue serving authentic vietnamese food at reasonable price .

From the second we got out of the taxi the service was impeccable. Our bags were taken from the taxi with a smile and a welcoming hello, and we received a warm greeting from the desk staff along with recommendations for dinner.
It's in district 5, very far from city centre, we'd to travel by taxi each time, there's nothing worth spending time somewhere near the hotel.
The hotel was under renovation, it's quite messy especially at the hotel entrance. Hotel room is not satisfactory although the room is big enough. And we had problem opening the room-door using our room-key, we had to slot using room key for few minutes in order to get access. We made our complaint and get our room key replaced, but it didn't help much.
Hotel Feature Tip : The roof-top restaurant on the 25th floor is absolutely brilliant.

Near good shopping areas. The breakfasts were very good. Staff was very helpful and spoke some english.
The hotel is really getting run down and they are remodeling and refurbishing the exterior and rooms.
Over all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel they have a great shuttle system to take you to the city center. We were pleased with the room but at this time would not consider it to be a 5 star hotel. The buffets in the hotel were outstanding with a large selection of food. The charges for computer services was outrages. They do have Wifi available in the rooms. If we return to Saigon we probably would stay near the city center since it is so far to the downtown area from the hotel.
Shopping Tip : Very close the the large shopping market in China Town.

Nice with the shuttle bus to down town.
Noisy, not quilified to be a 5 star hotel.
Not the best location, i thought that there would be more interesting things to do in the area (china town). But there was a free shuttle bus to down town which was a very good service. The hotel does not have a five star service. We stayed in four star hotels other places in vietnam with better service and nicer rooms. to expensive to stay extra 4½ hours before reaching a plane back to europe.

the free shuttle bus to down town
noisy, not quilified to be a 5 star hotel
The service and rooms were not what i expected for a 5 star hotel. The breakfast restaurant was very noisy. I have stayed in better 4 star hotels in vietnam so i was disapointed. I also expected the area to be more interresting. Not much to do there but a good service with the shuttle bus to down town.

Agoda policy of cancellation and need to print voucher to check in, really complicated and stressing.
Good service at the hotel, the location is quite convenient if you have necessity of going to all the districts in HCMC. In case you only want to stay in District 1, I recommend you choose another hotel. All in all, the hotel attendant are very nice and show interest to help in every request. The smell of the carpet is too strong, need to be improved. The food is quite nice but salad bar could be fresher.

The hotel is clean and the ambiance is ok. Although the hotel is having a repair the hotel manage to make the customer not bother but it. The hotel staff and employee are very accommodating.
The buffet breakfast always have the same menu everyday.
Windsor Hotel is one hotel you can recommend to anyone. The room is very clean even the hallway of the room is clean and there is no awful smell like other hotel. The staff and employee are very kind and accommodating even they don't know how to speak English. Facilities is good. The sauna and steam bath is clean and well taken care of. The view in the rooftop is breathtaking and so beautiful you can almost see the whole city.
Shopping Tip : The hotel has its shopping arcade and grocery so you won't have a hard time looking for food. There is a shuttle bus every 30 minutes to bring you to downtown area.

There was a receptionist who can speak Japanese. Bellboy was efficient to get a taxi to the airport.
We expected 5 star hotel service level but it is not so good than expected. The location is not so good a little bit far from the central city. The hotel was full of group tours and elevators do not stop and took us more than 15 minutes to get the roby level...
We need to take a late flight and sent a special request which was not paid attention at all. When we check in we were required to book one more day for a much higher late than Agoda booking... Finally they agreed for us to book from the internet, which is a little bit higher than Agoda case. However, we are not so happy their service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : District one area might be best to stay, we stayed on the first day of our trip.

Staff was very helpful and pleasnat to work with.
The rooms are very spartan for a luxury hotel; much renovation work being done in the lower floors was quite noisy and also made the public areas very dreary.
Having never been to HCMC before, we thought the location of the hotel in the Chinatown district would be nice. The location is not good for much in the way of retail or food. There is one large local mall attached to the hotel and not much else. The ambience for walking nearby was not conducive so we ended up taking the hotel shuttle bus in to the city center twice daily while we were there over the weekend. Also, the breakfast buffet was not as diverse in it's selections as most other hotels we have stayed at in Asia. We were also surprised how sparsely furnished the rooms were as well as by the metal shampoo/comnditioner/lotion dispensers chained to the wall in the bathroom.
Restaurant Tip : Highlands coffee in the adjacent mall has great coffee.

Restaurants, roof top pool.
No Vietnamese "feel" to the Hotel.
Nice Hotel but a bit out of the main area. Prices are expensive compared to others (e.g restaurants) but are nice. The rooftop pool is worth relaxing for a few hours. Free shuttle bus is reliable.

This is a great hotel have stayed here a few times and would stay again.
It is out of the way in dist 5 but a cab into town is very cheap and its not that far.
The hotel was having renovations when we were ther but this was not a problem.
Try to get free breakfast, the food is good here.
Don't change money in the hotel as the rate is bacd go into the city.
I would recomend this hotel to anyone.
Travel tip : Accross the road there is a local food rest, its cheap and the food is good
