Friendly staff but hard bed.
Close to airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast.

The husband of the family that owns the hotel took me out for food and drinks with his mates while I waited for my wife to arrive on a later flight, so this was a very friendly welcome! Likewise, his wife provided a surprise breakfast for free the next morning (it's not part of their normal package). However, the bed was very hard as is often the case with Vietnamese/Asian mini hotels. It only took 10 minutes to the airport from the hotel for our 9.30am flight, which took the stress out of HCMC peak hour traffic!

Fantastic value for the money
The staff was extremely friendly, and the owner helped us with everything. She gave us money to the taxi, helped us with tickets and made breakfast for us even though it wasn´t included in the origina

We can highly recommend this hotel. In a busy town, this hotel was very quiet. The owner and the staff was fantastic. Wifi was excellent. Close to the airport (3 dollars). Taxi til midtown (4 dollars). The owner will help with everything (tickets, tailors, food). Thank you

We used this Hotel as it was close to Airport and the Owner was very friendly and offered free breakfast. The room was clean and bed was hard which is normal in Asia.
Overall is a good budget stopover hotel.

The owner is a friendly lady, and her kindness makes me feel like being at home!
It's very quiet and comfortable at night, and it's interesting in the morning when going to the market in the neighborhood.

The friendliest hotel owner!

We stayed at the Xuan Hue Hotel for just one night as we had an early flight the next morning. The hotel owner was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us! On our arrival we were offered free drinks, and she also offered to go out and collect food for us, or cook for us at the hotel (for free!). We gratefully accepted the second offer. Our flight was at 6:15am the following day but that didn't stop her getting up at 4:45am to cook us breakfast (again for free) and calling us a taxi to the airport.
As we were only there briefly before our flight I can't comment on the city, but it is the perfect hotel for a quick stopover. The room was basic but clean with a decent shower, but the friendliness of the staff definitely make the place!

A great place from which to explore Saigon
Great host, free breakfast, good wifi

this place was a great base for us from which to explore saigon. initially we booked for 5 nights, but ended up staying 9. there is plenty to do and see in saigon, it is a nice place to hang out. with the hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the main backpacker district, it is a relaxing place to stay. we will stay here again over the next couple of months as we will pass through saigon 2 more times. i thought the owner was going to be full on, given some of the reviews, but she is just lovely, friendly and helpful, not over the top. she lent us her bike for a few days, which made getting into, and around, town easy. it was probably quicker than the bus and a lot of fun.
our room was big and clean. we were upgraded on arrival due to the fact we were staying longer than normal and when we booked 4 more nights, we were given a discount to the agoda price.
close to airport. (taxi cost 60.000d - vinasun taxi)
getting to town - if you like to walk it takes about an hour, it is an easy 20min bike ride, the bus costs 6.000d and a taxi (vinasun taxi) was 80.000d.
close to a small river which has some really nice restaurants and cafes along it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The small river nearby this hotel runs into the Saigon river. It is really nice to follow the river down stream. There are many temples and pagodas which are not listed as tourist attractions, as well as many other interesting sights.

Owner was lovely but
Reasonably close to airport

Came from the coast (Mui Ne) and were looking for a hotal close to the airport for one night. From the reviews it looked ideal but the reviews were misleading.
The hotel is very basic, with your own bathroom & air contioning but is in an area next to a local food market.
We felt safe at all times and the owner is lovely and couldn't do enough for you but the price you pay is what you get.

Close to airport
Friendly and helpful owner

we used this hotel for an overnight stay prior to getting a flight to phu quoc island as it is near the airport. it’s definitely not a tourist area but we enjoyed it because of that. we had vietnamese pancakes from a street vendor and there are plenty of places to eat nearby and a market. the hotel is adequate for an overnight stay but the friendliness of the local people and the hotel owner made up for the lack of ‘posh décor’. breakfast isn’t included at the hotel but when we returned from our evening meal the owner met us and asked if we would like breakfast (no charge). we explained we had to leave at 7.30am to get to the airport – no problem. after breakfast, without our asking, she arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport. minor crisis when we got to the airport….we realised we hadn’t got our passports from reception, fortunately we’d allowed enough time and the hotel was only a short ride from the airport.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the pancakes from the street vendor near the market!
