Friendly staff but hotel needs work

The rooms were a great size but smelt of damp and there was moisture on the walls in the lounge area. There was mould on the light fittings . The bathroom needed the sicllone to be replaced. The pool was in a lovely setting and the room size was really big.

We were a bit unsure about our choice due to reviews, but from the moment we arrived we were quite happy. Sure, it's a little dated and could do with a paint but overall it's clean and tidy. the best thing for me was being able to sit inside or outside at the various lounge areas reading, writing or using the Internet. the hotel has a look and feel of an old french house and is a great place to just relax. we will definately go back when we return to Hoi An.

Nice hotel, quiet and attentive staff. About 15 minute walk to center of town. Bike rental out front a must. Ride to beach in 10 minutes. Free parking at any restaurant.

Hotel is located a 5-10 minute walk from market and the Old Town.
It is in a quiet location about 5km from beach the other direction.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are lots of quiet corners to sit and relax
with a cuppa or a drink.

Nice looks, a swimming pool, close to but not in the centre.

Friendly hotel with connections to e.g. cooking class Morning Glory (very good!). Take a 3 km ride by bike to the beach or through the rice paddies.

Cau Dai is a small friendly hotel , the staff will arrange anything for you at a very reasonable price . The rooms in the hotel are big some have a bedroom with a serrated lounge room and are adequately fitted out with coffee and tea , hair dryer , fridge with mini bar. Breakfast is also very good with a Hoi An Banh Cuon to die for they also serve chocolate croissants fresh with gooey chocolate , eggs to order along with fresh made pancakes, toast,mussel, pho and fresh fruit to mention a few. It is not a five star hotel but just a quaint boutique hotel with a lovely pool to cool off in. If your looking for a family feel Cua Dai hotel is for you. The rooms can smell musty but with two air conditioner and ceiling fans it takes no time to eliminate. Only 5minutes to old Hoian and 15 minutes bike ride to the beach it has been my pick for numerous returns to Hoi An we will always pick Cau Dai

big lovely rooms. nice pool. breakfast is outstanding. we usually stay in places a little cheaper but thought we'd splurge in hoi an. we paid all of dollars more than our usual a night and the quality and amenities of this hotel were superior in all ways.

Worst hotel stayed since the beginning of our trip.
Breakfast was small nothing special
Staff were nice but unable to provide a different room when we requested one.
Our room was good size, deluxe, with pool side, on first floor , that was bonus, the down side, s the room stank! Smelled poison and fish, we asked for a another room but they said no room available, so gave us encent to burn which we had to refresh constantly, I later understood it was no room available in our price range cause when I walked around I saw a few empty ones (yet we paid in the upper range, so not sure she understood what we wanted nor cared).
The bathroom and shower needs major refurb. The worst was the noise for Ac unit, never heard something so loud! And to top it off, during the nights there were very loud annoying noises coming from the walls, like something was alive inside of them!
the point of a good hotel is to be able to have a good night sleep, this place clearly failed hard.... Find something else to enjoy your stay more in Hoi An... we even got food poisining and are wondering if it had anything to do with the breakfast.
