Enjoyed our stay at the Hoi An Hotel. Lovely grounds and great choice for breakfast. Lovely pool. Pool staff a bit slow topping up drinks, had to go find somebody twice and we were only there for 2 days. Rooms great. Not so good for people not being able to climb stairs.
Restaurant Tip:
Had a lovely meal at a Restaurant called Family restaurant. We were a bit worried as no body there but great food and service and very reasonable

lovely hotel. great rooms very clean and nicely decorated. the breakfast buffet is the best we have had. the pool is gorgeous. location is great with shuttle bus to the beach. grounds of hotel gorgeous. we stayed an extra 3 days it was so good!highly recommend
Restaurant Tip:
cargo club for great food and lovely atmosphere. take a cinnamon boat trip with dinner on the river. try passion fruit ice cream in casa verde.

Hotel was Dated, but staff were friendy

The hotel was dated and the rooms were dated, the pool was just clean enough to swim in, it was quiet a walk from town and the break fast was average. although all of this the staff were lovely and friendly. i would of stayed if it were cheaper.

Great hotel for a stay in Hoi An, as hotel so close to the historic town and a host of restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. Breakfast was more than adequate with choices for everyone, and staff always friendly. We made the mistake of eating in the Indochine resturant on our first night - food really not good, which was a shame. Housekeeping staff excellent, front of house service a little erratic. Free shuttle service to the beach was good, and as we were a 'long stay'received complimentary towels and loungers at the Hoi An Beach Resort. The pool and surrounding gardens were always clean, and well tended. We loved the Local Cafe, as it was good to just mix with the locals!
Eventhough it was not mentioned, I returned to the room on the evening of my birthday to find a bunch of flowers and a birhday card from the hotel - it was a beautiful touch, and some thing I will always remember.
We would not hesitate to reccommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hoi An, and are already planning to return next year!
Shopping Tip:
If you hope to have some clothes made, go to a few places before placing an order. We found BeBe much better and cheaper than the shop recommended by the hotel.

The Hoi An Historic was perfect for our stay in Hoi An. My daughters were keen to get clothes made and it is well positioned so we could walk back and forward into town for all the fittings they required. We are not keen beach goers but there is the option of using the Hotel shuttle bus to go to the beach if you want

Great location but rooms in need of upgrade

We booked this hotel for our last night in Hoi an as we had stayed in the sister hotel Hoi An Beach Resort which was lovely but the Hoi An historic turn out to be anything but lovely. The bath had what I thought was dirt but turned out to be a chip in the bottom. I still wasn't worried but I was surprised as the hotels ground complete with fountains look 5 star.
I had the aircon on and thought it was very noisy so when the room was cool.I switched it off to go to sleep but the noise (very load hum) didn't go away so I looked for power switch so I could just turn all power to the unit off. I did this but noise didn't go away. I open balcony doors and it was coming from next doors outside aircon unit. The hotel sent someone to fix it but they couldn't. We got moved after some negotiating at about midnight to another room. The room the moved us to smelled of damp and rotten drains but at least no noise. At check out I complained about smelly room. I was taken aside and they apologized and gave us a present. ( two small lanterns) Breakfast menu was extensive and the food was good.

Arrived on the day of the mens singles final at Wimbledon only to be told that the TV channel in the room was not working that day !
When out into the hotels outside bar and it was working there but due to time difference they closed the bar in the middle of the match. Didn't want to see the end anyway
Was in a room on the 3rd floor and no lifts - not good if you are getting on and hardly "deluxe"
