Transfered here from another hotel and proves to be beter value for the money. Large spacious rooom. A bit older but again better than the other.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can rent bicycles for 1 USD or motor bike for 10 USD per day from vendors just outside the hotel or across the street owned by a very nice local couple (whom we rented from).

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hotel is located very close to the Huy Hoang River. Walking distance to historical sites and restaurants. In the evening(5min walk) local vendors set up their stalls along the river selling all food(Vietnamese and Western)

Brilliant hotel!
Loved the old colonial style, but still very modern, clean and well-appointed.

We are a group of three Australian woman travelling for a month in Vietnam. We have stayed in many lovely hotels, but this was our favourite. As well as having a great atmosphere the staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
Travel tip:
Get out to the beach (the northern one) as it's beautiful.

taxi arrangements for arrival and departure can be easily arranged for each way.
Shopping Tip:
Be careful when making purchases. Check every item carefully before leaving the shop as shop owners can be quite aggressive.

We ended up staying an extra night here. Very happy with the room and the staff. Reliable for booking excursions and very easy to deal with. Breakfast is from their menu and is quite good.
The best rooms are the river view rooms at the back of the hotel. The other rooms do not have windows from what I could tell.

We decided to spoil ourselves with the river view room and we were not disappointed. The room was really large with a nice bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ended up booking tours elsewhere, but the hotel would have booked everything for us at the same prices. The breakfast was one where you order from the menu. The items on the menu are great so this was not an issue. We were full each morning. The hotel is near to all of the best shopping and sights in the old town.

but we were given a room without window at ground floor. so it was a bit stuffy especially when we came back from tour out in the sun! don't feel comfortable.

Most of the rooms are no-window so be certain before booking. The breakfast is okay, the staffs are freindly and please be kind and understand them during busy hours ie: breakfast time (morning)and check in checkout time (noon) for they have to cater many task at the same time.
We happily stayed here 5 nights and love it.

Right in the heart of the action, the hotel offers simple accommodation at a good price. We paid $24 online and $28 at the front desk when we extended, and you will. Both rates included a clean comfortable room with aircon and a huge breakfast in the morning. $1 bike hire and $15 airport transfer to da nang. The staff were wonderfully helpful and it was refreshing to have honest and reliable info from them throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

Don't get suits done in the market. Average quality.
