Quiet, clean and peaceful Though the hotel was not so busy and crowded, my room was on the third floor without elevator. It was a nice and quiet resot hotel in the historic town Hoi An. The world heritage historic town is within walking distance. I borrowed free bicycle and rented a motorcycle just outside of the hotel. Only US$10 for a full day!! Hoi An was very very hot so riding motorcycle was great to get air. The city is beautiful and historically old with the famous lanterns. Breakfast was full of treats. People are nice, not cheating you unlike big cities. A mug of draft beer was only VND4,000 in an open air restaurant. VND4,000 is only US$0.25!! Heaven!!

Quiet area Tours-not worth the money
Food-only okay The Life Heritage Resorts in Hoi An is a GREAT hotel. It was VERY clean, comfortable and the staff was helpful. This hotel is located right on the end of town and is very easily accessible to the town. When you check in, (which we were checking in 2 hrs before "check in time" and they let us in our room right away) they give you a map of the town and answer any questions you have. The staff helps you with airline tickets and any other travel arrangements you have. The pool is very beautiful, but not deep. The "American" food was okay, the Vietnamese food was also average. I would recommend eating out in the town as it is also very expensive at the hotel. If you need clothes washed, do not pay hotel prices. When you walk out of the hotel turn right and give your clothes to the Vietnamese ladies your clothes. They will wash, fold and iron for a very good rate, which is determined by weight.
The only negative comment I have is that when we arranged tours with the hotel it was VERY expensive and the "tour" was just a driver to the sight and then you looked around on your own. I would recommend just hiring a cab to visit Marble Mountain and the My Son Ruins. Both are worth a visit.
Overall I would recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Eat at Mango Rooms the food is SENSATIONAL!

Where do you start. Excellent room (river view), staff, food, value for money, pool, services etc etc Have tried really hard on this one, as we would normally be very critical on places we stay. Cannot think of one negative thing to say about the Life Resort however. We stayed in the Life Resort on week two of our six week honeymoon in Vietnam/Thailand, and boy what a choice. We chose the place following a trawl online and ended up getting a very good deal through Agoda. From the moment we arrived at reception, until the day our taxi left seven days later, we were treated like royalty, ate the best of foods, lounged alongside the nicest pool getting served drinks and food by Owne (pronounced Wan) and the other staff. They have an excellent library also, and room service was excellent throughout. They even wrote Love signs on our bed with rose petals each night after finding out we were on honeymoon. Overall, we loved Hoi An and Life Resort and will definitely come back again soon.
Shopping Tip : In order to get into Town from the Hotel you have to go by loads of stalls, and some of the stall holders can be very pushy. Just politely say no and keep walking. If you say "not tonight" they will remember you the next time and push you even further. Also, please note that Mrs. Ang Fu has a little stall directly outside the Resort and gave us an excellent Laundry and Scooter service during our stay.
