Amazing family guesthouse, our favourite.
Spacious bungalows with plenty of rooms and good bathroom.

Couldn't fault this place at all. The service was great and on our last night they cooked us and other guests a lovely home cooked meal. Very friendly, smiley staf who were very helpful.
Free bikes to hire which we used all the time. Hoi Ann was our favourite place in Vietnam and we were glad we had so much time there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go on a 'Heaven and Earth' bicycle tour around the old villages, Pascall was a fantastic guide and we learnt so much about the real locals.

this place was amazing the staff are the nicest you will meet and the beds are some of the softest in vietnam. the place had a really nice feel to it and felt like a little get away, we only wish it were a bit warmer so that we could use the pool. the breakfast was really good. the location may be a bit out of the way but it's not even $1 to get into town with a taxi.

Orchid was a lovely guesthouse; the service was on point and the accommodation comfortable. My room was not a bungalow (it was one of the rooms upstairs from the kitchen), and you could hear some noise, but it didn't bother me. There is some construction going on that I saw, but rarely heard. However, there also seems to be a party-hall or gathering place nearby that was quite loud one night. Breakfast was served in the lovely outdoors kitchen. The weather was bad while I was in Hue, but staring out at the mist and rain while under cover having breakfast was wonderful. Pool looked amazing, but it was too cold in Hue to swim outdoors. The location of the guesthouse is a 20 min walk into town, but bikes are available, and it's nice to have a bit of a walk after eating all that wonderful food in town.

Small and comfortable .
Secluded/quite and clean situated in a pleasant garden.Ver helpful staff and management.

Had a very enjoyable and peaceful 2 night stay.
The hotel is well situated off the main road in a lovely garden with lots of orchids and well maintained pool.There was no traffic noise.
The management and staff were most accomodating and friendly and were able to direct one to local areas of interest and activities.
Very fair accomodation and good breakfasts.

we really enjoyed our time at orchid garden. the rooms are spacious and very clean and the gardens are delightful with a range of orchids in flower. the most wonderful experience however was the attentive and caring service by the owner couple and their team. i was unfortunately ill for part of our week there and could not imagine being as comfortable and cared for during this period as i was at orchid gardens. the bikes are free and an excellent way to cover the diversity of hoi an town and breakfasts are generous as well as delicious.

Beautiful bungalow, garden and wonderful staff

orchid gardens is somewhat unique. the spacious bungalows a set among beautiful orchids and other tropical garden plants. the staff make you feel as thought you are at home and so the "home stay" in the name. it's more like a small,boutique quality motel in australia. the location, half way between the town centre and the beach is great. the free bikes are a nice touch but get one of the newer ones if you can. the staff put on a regular ( every few day) afternoon home cooked meal with local vino, where the guests and staff can get together and share their experiences. a really nice touch. the staff are fantastic. always willing to help and advise. they even make sure you're not getting ripped off by the less honest local traders in town. it really is a home stay in that you are treated like family. no bull.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We had a great day at Gioan Cooking School with chef Hanh ( who is a bit of a party animal and knows more about Aussie TV than we do). She taught us how to cook some of the more interesting traditional Vietnamese dishes in a way that we could not only follow but also do at home. Really worth the $s.

Perfect location with spacious rooms

very happy about the location of this property. it's located in between the beach and city. we rode our bikes (provided by the resort) on a daily basis to both destinations and it was perfect for us. the rooms are actually more of a suite size than a typical hotel room. we had a kitchenette, sofa and lots of space. breakfast served daily was also good. the only downside was that the property directly to the right of the resort was undergoing some construction but that was a minimal distraction because we were mostly riding bikes and doing things during the day when construction activity is going on. recommend this place for the price and convenience to just about everyplace.

the orchid garden is a shiny pearl in hoi an. situated in a lovely garden with lots of tropical flowers and a nice pool a couple of bungalows and rooms are awaiting the guests. we were greeted with fresh juice and a welcome dinner for all the new guests. even though it is quite a walk from the hotel to the old town (about 15 min), you can borrow one of their bycicles or take a taxi, which is really cheap. we totally enjoyed staying there.

Arrived late , tired , badly prepared !

First time was great
BUT this time dissappointment !
I phoned to warn that we would arrive late.
We got the only / worst bungalow, No 001.
The hot water had not been turned on.
Waited for half an hour for water to get hot.
Not great at 11.30pm.
Lacking attention to detail.
Nice place but complacent management.

it was a lovely treat for us we stayed three nights and our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels! the pool was lovely! breakfast was good! the only real con for me was that laundry! very expensive at 2 dollars a kilo!!
