The room was reasonable. The pool and resturant was of good standard. Reception staff were unhelpful and unprofessional.
Good resturant, good pool.
Unprofessional reception staff.
- Shopping Tip : Plentiful and good tailors nearby.

The Pho Hoi Riverside Hotel is not a place I would stay in again. While the physical facility is nicely done- rooms are clean and adequate- the negatives outweigh the positives. It began with staff members pulling us aside and touting in "secret! secret!" whispers services provided by their friends and contacts outside of the hotel. It was conspiratorial and uncomfortable. Next came the tiny bowls of rice for $2.00 and an overpriced and unremarkable hotel restaurant. Lastly, upon check out we were confronted with "unpaid" laundry bills. The bills had been previously paid by us but apparently not recorded by desk staff receiviing the funds. When we asked to speak with a manager we were confronted by a desk staff that suddenly couldn't understand English. Mind you, communication had been fine until we balked about double paying the laundry charges. The overall effect was to leave us with a sour taste about the Pho Hoi hotel. There are plenty of good hotel options in Hoi-an. We would not choose the Pho Hoi Riverside Hotel again. It's a shame, since we really wanted to like the place but the dishonest atmosphere left us wishing we had stayed elsewhere.
Good location by the river- well kept grounds- decent quallity rooms.
We were confronted at check out with laundry charges which had been paid by us but not recorded by staff. Very unpleasant interactions with desk manager- refused to call a proper manager and suddenly couldn't speak English. Members of the staff kept pulling us aside and touting services by their friends outside of the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel was terribly overpriced and low quality. Eat elsewhere. The ending erased any positive memory of the place.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Save your receipts. You'll need to show them when they start the overcharging game.
