Very friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Next to the river. Clean and well maintained grounds and pool.

The hotel restaurant is open from 6am to 9pm daily but you will find the same if not better quality food at the local restaurants within 2 minute walk at 1/3rd the price of the hotel.

Friendly & welcoming hotel. All staff very attentive to your needs making our 4 day stay in Hoi An enjoyable. Large tidy rooms with nice view from balcony over the river. Very relaxing and close to beach, and only 5km from busy Hoi An shopping area, only 25000VND by taxi. Hoi An know for it's many tailors who can knock of quality custom clothes for you in 24 hours, and cheap!! There are many little restaurants and despite their often crude appearance, they produce excellent quality & safe food at a fraction of the hotel prices. Overall, very happy stay at this hotel.

Shopping Tip : No prices marked on clothes and other items for sale, so be prepared to bargin. Start at 50% of their asking price and be prepared to settle at around 75% of asking price.

Beautiful River View, relaxed ambience, most friendly & good service

Although the breakfast buffet offers a great variety it could be less continental and more asian. Fresh & steamed vegetables should be added, not only tomato and cucumber.

Hoi An is definitely worth seeing. It is relaxed and easy to find your way through. Although the hotel still recovers from the Taifun in September 2009, it is a pleasant stay. The employees are very friendly and try to help with whatever problem you have, might it be a broken suitcase or a special cocktail they do not know. They make sure you will get it. The hotel is near the beach but it is very easy to take a bike or taxi to get into town. You can enjoy the refreshing pool and there is a private beach to the hotel, where you can get your towels and sunbeds, too, while swimming in the sea is difficult due to the breakers. Hoi Ans ancient city is the most romantic place we have been to during our trip to Vietnam.

Travel tip : Take a few days to calm down, enjoy a walking tour visiting the old houses of Hoi An (tickets for walking tours you get at an Old Town booth), get a nice suit or dress taylored ('The taylor scene is out of control' Lonely Planet states and so it is)and definitely do a cooking class at the Red Bridge Restaurant! Enjoy

excellent location, friendly staff, good breakfast, beautiful swimming pool, good value at current rate.

rooms feel cold and empty, lack of artwork and furniture, outdated bathrooms, poor lighting throughout facility, inadequate sound insulation, lack of privacy on balconies, rough edges througout facility that needs more attention paid to architectural detail and finish quality.

The River Beach Resort is an older hotel that is in the process of a much needed facelift. When we stayed there, it was unfinished, however the potential was apparent. at $60 per night, it was a good value, however I would suspect that the room rates will rise once the renovation is complete.

Restaurant Tip : Don't go to Mr My's across the street. We paid $272 VND for a dish made from instant noodles, lack luster fried vegetable rolls, and a less than mediocre grilled duck. He made us pay for cold tea that was supposed to be hot and I think he overcharged us on the bill. Beyond terrible and truly a disgrace to Vietnamese food culture.

Excellent Breakfast, Great Location

Cost

A fantastic hotel, beautifully set along the river and away from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An itself, however with shuttle bus, free bicycle loan and even walking distance of the town getting there is not an issue. We moved to this hotel having originally booked into the Green Field Hotel, which was so bad and dirty that we checked out within 18 hours of checking in! The hotel is amazing, with spacious and well equipped rooms. The location is perfect to watch the lights float along the river - definitely recommended.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bicycles are available free from the hotel with no time restrictions; borrow one and explore Hoi An for yourself, if you are brave enough to face the Vietnamese traffic system!

Location to the beach Outdoor swimming pool Nice breakfast Large rooms

Location to Hoi An Centre

The hotel is in walking distance to the beautiful nice Cua Dai beach. At the beach, look for the River Beach sign and collect your free towels and sun bed located on the sandy beach. Furthermore the hotel has quite large rooms with balconies, many facing the river’s mouth. The beds are soft and large. There is an outdoor swimming pool and bar present. The staff speaks good English. If you want to go to Hoi An centre, there is a minibus shuttle going from the hotel and back for free. Taxi is also an option, but be sure that they use the meter installed.... You can also bicycle to Hoi An Centre, we did not have time to do that, but they are rented for free at the hotel.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Old Town Hoi An!!

Great staff Good location it was nice to be out of the city area. Nice Pool Very nice family room Great Buffet Breakfast

Very large hotel and can be noisy if lots of people in hotel We were a little bit disappointed in the beach area and so spent most of our time swimming in the pool.

After our welcoming drink and introduction by the very friendly staff, we were pleasantly surprised by the view from our balcony of the river and surrounding area. The pool area was very inviting and welcome in the hot conditions we arrived in. The buffet breakfast overlooking the pool and river was a great setting to eat in.

Restaurant Tip : Great little restaurants and shops across the road to eat and shop at. Nice to sit at and watch the locals at work and play.

Handy location to both the beach and eating places Staff were always willing to help ie one day the shuttle to Hoi An was very busy and did not arrive to take us to town but the staff readily organised a Taxi at no cost to us

Hallways not being carpeted noise tended to carry and I am sure that some people dont know to turn the door knob when closing doors

Hoi An River Beach Resort is in a handy location to both the beach and eating places on the main street - the rooms are large and well serviced the breakfast was not wonderful but in saying that it was ample - we were met at the airport by the hotel shuttle bus and the driver pointed out various interesting points ie China Beach, Marble Mountain etc during the journey to the hotel. My wife and I will certainly return to Hoi An and the River Beach next year

Shopping Tip : Try the Fresh Beer in Hoi An $A 0.33c [VND 4000] per glass cold and draught not bottled - Restaurant Trihn across the road from hotel - turn left coming out of hotel walk approx 150 metres and you will find a small travel agengy on the right safe driver/good guide we went to Hue for the day

Well priced for location and quality Close to a lovely beach, with own private sitting area and bar service Shuttle bus to Hoi An.

small pool area gets a bit crowded

We had a lovely time at this well priced hotel, well located just out of Hoi An, overlooking a tranquil river and just a hop away from the beach, with its own private area including bar and restaurant. But still surrounded with enough shops to have a little fun. The only down side was we were there when the Vietnamese were on holidays and they like to get up VERY EARLY and are not very quite. So no sleep-ins.

Travel tip : We love Vietnam, but avoid the local holiday season as it is very hot and takes some of the fun out of sightseeing and shopping. Also Vietnamese people love to holiday at the beach, but they get up VERY early and can be noisey around the hotel.

Good location, close to the beach. Great shuttle bus service

Food in restaurant was terrible! Furnishings/ sofas in room were very dirty and stained Very small pool for such a large hotel

The location was great, close to beach and short bus ride into Hoi An- great shuttle service. Food in restaurant was extremely slow and was terrible. Eat in Hoi An!!! Pool was very small, room furnishings were really dirty. Reception and restaurant staff always seemed a little confused! Concierge staff were great though.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Snorkelling tour to Cham Island- dont bother, only had 30 mins actual snorkelling and the reef they take you to is being destroyed on a daily basis by the boats dropping anchor on it and uneducated daytrippers standing all over it. Very sad!

* Private Beach * Large size room * Friendly staff * Free Internet * Free shuttle bus into town

* Little run down * Pool great but small for size of resort * Walk to private beach * Air coniditoning too strong and pointed directly on bed

The Beach Resort is right next beach but a short distance walk to its private beach. Hotel provides free bicycles and shuttles buses into town. Room was large in size but the resort in general needs some work - when we left (May 09) they were doing some refurbishment so maybe its changed. Service was great, expect to pay 250,000 Dong for trip from Denang airport. Eat at the local restaurants accross the road, great value for money and great food, hire a motorbike from accross the road if bicycle too much ( as its 7 km into town) or u dont want to be restricted by shuttle bus times ( every 3 hours). Room airconditioning is directly on bed and was too cold, had to keep turning on and off through out the night, it was too strong

Shopping Tip : Go to Dong Duong ( 57 Le Loi St ) for clothes... we are very fussy and skeptical when it comes to clothing but they were so friendly esp Minh and at a good price. Their advice was great regarding materials to use and their work is great. Take pictures with you, i had complicated items that turned out perfectly

friendly staff

feels a bit run down

The staff could not have been better, from check in everyone did their best to make sure you had everything you needed. We had a blocked shower & it was repaired in minutes, good size rooms that were clean & tidy, it just seemed a bit run down. The hotel were working on the garden pool, taking away some pathway & laying grass in its place, but the tiles around the pool were not the best, many needing repair, not that bad that we did not use the pool... just a bit run down. The hotel had bikes that you could use with out charge, but the seats were so low we could not ride them without laughing & making all the locals laugh at us.....but we did! Free bus ride to the town at 3,6 & 9pm taxi back cost 3 US$. The beach area is a short walk away, the roads & pavements are scruffy, when you get to the beach the bar area is basicly closed, they provide plenty of clean towels, beds with cusions & you can buy drinks & food, but you would be better going to the MAN beach next door for food & useing the toilet! All in all...would I stay there again? I dont think so, there are better for a little more.

Hotel Feature Tip : If you stay...get the hotel to pick you up, it costs the same as a taxi.. but better.

Just across the street from the beach, has all the facilities you need included in the rate: breakfast, free internet, bicycle, shuttle to town, beachfront area. Room was huge for the price we paid. Room had already been cleaned and towels refreshed each time we returned from briefly leaving the hotel. Very hospitable and attentive staff.

Room we got was overlooking the street, so we hear the noise out front. Very few channels on tv, but then again you don't really stay in your room very long.

We wanted a hotel that was nearer to the beach than the town as we knew we were going to spend a lot more time lounging and swimming than sightseeing and shopping. This hotel was a perfect choice! We felt that we got a lot more than we had paid for in terms of the amenities and service. We didn't need to pay anything over the rate we paid for the rooms throughout our stay. The meals offered in the hotel restaurant and the drinks offered on the beach were on the expensive side. But this shouldn't prevent you from choosing this hotel because you have a lot of other choices right around the area. In all, we'll definitely choose to stay in this hotel again if we ever go back to visit Hoi An.

Big room Interesting oriental decorations Close to beach and along the river

Not good wifi connection Far from Hoi An town

This is a nice hotel for vacation. A couple minutes walk to the beach and along the river bank. Very nice garden with small swimming pool. The atmosphere is very relax at the pool side and along the river. Very close to nature and the local way of living. The hotel provide a van to/from Hoi An every hour so it is very convenient to spend you time.

Nice and peaceful location. Clean rooms. Very good and plentiful breakfast. Excellent service and staff for the most parts speaks good english. Good service with the car/bus rental and the free use of bicycles.

The pool area should be renovated, for example some of the tiles were broken and loose.

Hotel restaurant a little bit overpriced which was explained by the hotel manager on a board in the reception area.. We ate one meal in the hotel restaurant and all the others on the small restaurants on the same street as the hotel. Enjoyed the others better with five times smaller bills =) The food in the hotel restaurant wasn't bad just average. We also liked the surrounding area of the hotel because the beach was quite peaceful and not all that growded. The hotel has it's own private area on the beach with free sunbeds etc. for the hotel guests. The ladies selling small souvenirs and other stuff on the other areas on the beach can be bit annoying.

Shopping Tip : Taylor shop (Bao Ni) near the hotel was very good! It's on the other side of the road on the way to the beach about 100 m from the hotel.. We were very pleased with all the things made and would absolutely recommend them. We also liked the restaurant that is on the right side before the bridge when going towards Hoi An few hundred meters from the hotel. Reasonable prices GOOD food.
