Nice hotel and good service

We had a great stay here. The pool area is lovely and the staff very friendly. It’s located slightly out of the old town. Hiring a bicycle for $1 a day is a great idea. It might be a bit noisy to stay on ground floor though. The rooms were spacious and clean. Definitely good value for money.

we have pre teen and teenage children (three). we felt safe with them in their own room. clean, big rooms. decent pool. pool table and bar area was available for families enough of the time. also inhabited by rowdy backpack crowd some of the time. this just adds to the travel vibe and would be expected at a place like this. owner cool and open to suggestions. he is invested in the hotel's success. not in the historic section of town, but bicycles easily rented on premises for old town and beach access. in house travel agents (front desk staff) very helpful and patient. however as is almost always the case with travel in asia, you must go with your gut as they don't always know as much as they let on. a really great choice as it had everything we needed and was super affordable. breakfast good. nothing to write home about but a decent buffet that was certainly a hit with the kids.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The food stalls in the market center are really good!

Stayed during Christmas. Welcome drink upon arrival, hotel staff didn't give us any information or recommendations, but that's because we didn't ask. Most hotels in SE Asia will constantly ask where you're going and whatnot and offer recommendations, so that was abnormal, but not a big deal to us at all. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, room was pretty spacious, could use a little updating, but overall, very clean and comfortable. A good 5-10 minute bike to the central area, but bike rental is very easy. Nice pool area, overall, a wonderful place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For bigger and taller people, you may want to go down the road to mr Thoi to get bikes, they are usually suited for taller people. That's really about it. Kimmy tailors is down the road and did a very good job on my suit, would recommend them. Beach is a far, but scenic bike ride. Don't be fooled by the "bike parking" area about 300 meters from the beach, you can go right to the beach and park for free.

The hotel has nice spacious and clean rooms. The rooms were cleaned every day. The buffet breakfast was great. The pool looked nice but it was too cold to use it. The food in the restaurant is not recomendable better go opposite to restaurant Solo. The staff was helpfull but not extremely friendly but thats maybe also because it's quite a big hotel.
You could rent motorbikes and bikes in front of the hotel what is very nice to do. The location is good: nearby the beach and not so far from the old city as well (they have a shuttlebus halfway)

Clean and modern with very friendly staff

the sunflower is a lovely hotel with large, clean and modern rooms with lots of nice extras like a kettle and fridge. it's set a little way from the centre of hoi an but there are bicycles available for hire and it's no distance at all. the staff were friendly and helpful and really quite entertaining. there's a nice outdoor area with a bar which also serves a good range of food. it's really a very pleasant place in which to stay.

A great stay in a lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly with good humour. They were helpful and there were a number of facilities on site that made things very easy. Airport transfer was convenient and efficient. The buffet breakfast was good. Rooms were a good size and clean but balconies were small with no seating area. There was however a few nice areas around the hotel to sit and have a drink so this wasn't a huge problem!

We stayed at that wonderful hotel for 3 nights. Originally, we booked only 2 nights but extended our stay for one more night. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The breakfasts is the best we have had so far. The pool is good for cooling down and the bar has reasonable prices.
