Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Good rooms, excellent swimming pool, OK breakfast
beach not clean. need more work to be as attractive as aother hoels in the sam class in the area. Difficult to get late check out, No complemantary airport transport service.
I like this place, it gives good opportunities for relaxation, one of the best swimmingpools I have seen. Staff is very polite and basically very professional. Rooms are great, Maybe TV screen a bit small to my taste. The closeness to Hoi An town makes this an ideal place for someone who wants to combine lazy beach life with serious sightseeing.

very stylish, ideallic location
did not have complimentary fruit basket
Swiss-Bel Hotel Golden Sand Resort was an excellent hotel, it ideally located by the seaside, due to this we upgrade to a VIP ocean front room and was offered a discounted price on the upgrade. The hotel was very well organised and the room was spacious. The staffs were the best and was very, very helpful. We would stay there again

Beautiful Location with well appointed accommodation, exceptionally clean, picturesque gardens and pool supported by very friendly staff. Consider 5star plus at good value.
My wife and I planned to have a break during our visit to Vietnam and this Resort located half way up the coast provided exactly what we wanted. Located a few kilometers from Hoi An right on the South China Sea with beautiful beach, palm trees and pool. A very good free shuttle bus service into Hoi An. To sum up GREAT.
Restaurant Tip : Recommend to try the small Restaurants within walking distance of this Resort. They provide clean good food at affordable prices and very friendly and helpful.

Great location, breakfast, pool
slightly pricey but worth it!
Lovely luxurious resort right on the beach. Offered discounted upgrade on arrival to beachfront room, definitely worth it! Fabulous pool and playroom for the kiddies. Free shuttle bus into town. Fabulous breakfast overlooking the beach / pool in the restaurant. Lovely grounds and nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of town- a most enjoyable stay.

Great reception area, lovely pools, beach location beautiful.
When it rains it pours and parts of the hotel are not undercover. The tiles become very slippery and there can be some minor flooding particularly near the reception area. Probably need to think about a shuttle bus to and from the airport. It's about a 40 min drive and will cost you.
This was my first 5 star experience and for the price I expected a much nicer room. Definitely overrated. Mind you we did stay in a standard room while our friends stayed in a villa by the beach. They had problems with doors not closing properly and their wireless internet connection didn't really exist. Apart from my moans and groans the setting was lovely the staff were fantastic, the food was good and as well as the entertainment.

Gorgeous reception area, friendly and helpful staff, good sized room, gym and spa excellent.
A ceiling fan in the bedroom would have been good as I find the aircon quite noisy at night - and obviously it's not very environmentally friendly!
My husband and I stayed in the hotel for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The beach is beatiful and private and the staff clear it every day. Rooms are a good size, although we did upgrade, and well furnished. Endless supply of towels, as they changed them in the morning and then appeared again in the evening offering more... we always declined. Staff were lovely and welcoming, not all spoke english but this was never a problem. 10 mins free internet every day in the business centre was great as you can keep in touch with family via email. Lack of english language books in the library, but we left 6 so the collection may icrease;-) Breakfast was great, whatever you wanted and really tasty. We ate in the hotel a few times for lunch or dinner but it was pretty average and very expensive compared to the restaurants along the road or in Hoi An centre. Shuttle bus into centre was at good times so we used it alot, but taxi's are cheap. We also hired bicycles for the day - make sure you visit the village! Beatiful setting and lovely hotel that I'd recommend and would certainly visit again.
Restaurant Tip : There are restaurants within 1 mile of the hotel, so only a 15 min walk (or 15 Dong in a taxi). The further you travel from the beach, the better the restaurants, and there are several shops to browse on the way.

The hotel service was overall very excellent.
The location, facilities, breakfast - I was satisfied with them.
It takes more than 10 minutes by taxi from Hoian town. Hotel has shattle bus. But it was not so frequent, and I took taxi 2 times. The taxi was expensive than my expectation.
The hotel was located in the beach area. It has very quiet and beautiful private beach, and very wide swimming pool as well. The swimming pool has also bar counter, and I enjoyed beer. After finishing sight seeing in Hoian town, I was sincerely relaxed at the hotel very much. I highly recommend to select this hotel.

This is a very comfortable hotel. Its distance from Hoi An town was not a significant disadvantage.(The taxi fare is only USD3 anyway)
Restaurant Tip : Did not eat dinner at the hotel because so many good and cheap restaurants in town. Best place to eat was the Morning Glory Restaurant which also runs cooking classes for tourists.

I researched all hotels in Hoi An and although there was some suspect reviews on this hotel I thought, it cant be to bad, it look like heaven! Now that I have been there, it certainly does look like heaven, and we had a very nice stay. Very relaxing although next time, I would try a different hotel.
Nightlife Tip : Eat at the cargo club, Tim Tam Bar and Mango Room which are all located in the town. Great food and great service.

When we checked in, we were told that the room type that we had booked was full. They put us in a suite and told us that we needed to move the next day. That was fine with us. Nobody contacted us the next day. We went on a tour after a late breakfast. When we returned around 17.00, we got a note under our door saying that the front desk had tried to contact us and we were not in my room. They even mispelled my name. I was more than upset at that time. I was on holiday and would not sit around and wait for a call. Besides it was not my problem that our room type was full. By putting us in a suite was not a compensation, they should have offered us some goodie for the trouble of moving room. Now this note?? I had a discussion with the front desk. After half an hour, the supervisor called me back and said that the general manager would give us a dinner voucher. That was OK.
When we checked out two days later, the charge was on our invoice even though we had presented the voucher when we ordered food at the restaurant. It took another half an hour to clear the issue. In the meantime, we had our drive waiting for us to drive us to Hue. We were delayed for 45 minutes.

Even taking a cab from the hotel into town or back from town only cost around $4 or 60,000 dong.
Restaurant Tip : Try Brothers Cafe - the food was fab (not as cheap as other places but worth splashing out on). Booking is recommended if you want a sit on the patio overlooking to river.

We enjoyed our stay at Golden Sands and hope to return. There was another beachfront hotel that was starting to be built just down the road a little, that will be interesting
Restaurant Tip : It is quite easy to get into town to grab some dinner. The Free Shuttle bus leaves at reasonable times to have some dinner and do some shopping. Sooo many restaurants to choose from, too many favourites to name :)

We would rather have stayed at Victoria Resort. It was a little nearer to town and looked much lovelier than Golden Sand. It is the same class and price range, so if you have a choice pick the Victoria!
Restaurant Tip : Good Morning Vietnam is wonderful place for pizza and pasta. Don't forget to get some tiramisu, it's great.
