This is an absolutely amazing resort. The pool is fantastic; 150m with little bridges running over the top; palm trees on the edges; overlooking the beach. It's a tropical paradise!
The breakfasts there are also incredible!!
The staff are very friendly, the owner of the hotel greeted us upon our arrival and he greets you at breakfasts in the morning too, really charismatic guy!
They have a shuttle which drives you into the town and takes you back.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and beautiful.
Would recommend this to everyone!

Great service, beautiful location
Pool is spectacular, large and great for either relaxing and splashing around or wanting to do a length or two for fitness.

Staff were healpful and friendly, location is superb if youre looking for the more relaxing, slightly indulgent holiday. Daily free shuttle provided by hotel to city for shopping leaves and returns every couple of hours. Highly recommend this hotel
Restaurant Tip:
Seek out the HAI cafe in the city. Food is brilliant, ambience great and all staff have a reasonable level of English.

Great pool but bad location

Amazing breakfast, best we had in Vietnam. Pool was a bit cold for the time of year (november) we were there as its unheated. You had to pay to use the computers in the reception which we thought was unusual as have never seen this in another hotel in Vietnam. We didn't like the location as it was a 5 us dollar taxi ride into the center which is a lot when you consider how small hoi an is. They did run 6 shuttles per day but you had to book 1 hour before and they were at inconvenient times for us and we didnt want to plan our day around the shuttle schedule. We found hoi an a favorite place and wanted to spend most of our time in the center. The beach was also average and too dangerous to swim in while we were there and very dirty. They had good service though and let us check in early.
Travel tip:
Hiring motorbikes is the best way to see hoi an, the roads aren't as hectic as other places in Vietnam and its relatively easy to find your way around with helpful locals. Be careful when booking a motorbike tour, make sure you go with the official hoi an motorbike adventures crew who only have an office which closes at 5pm apparently so get in early. You will find them online with reviews etc. Across the road is a motorbike tour company in a bar but we got badly ripped off by them, paying 85 us dollars (supposedly a discount on 100) to follow a guy around the local roads and only got squid and prawns for lunch, bad when you don't like seafood and was not enough to fill any of us up. Not worth the money.

Great location along the beach - approx a 15min drive into the town. The pool is large and the poolside service was excellent. Rooms were also large,clean and comfortable. Shuttle bus into town ran regulary. Nothing negative to say about this hotel... highly recommend it to fellow travellers.
Shopping Tip:
Go to 'Mr Xe' tailors in town.... awesome people - great quality!

we loved this resort. our room was perfect for a young family, plenty of space and very clean. our view was amazing unfortunately the weather was not so great. the kids loved the pirate ship in the pool, they still talk about it and would love to go back. food was good, great variety for breakfast and fresh. the kids club needed a face lift but even so the boys enjoyed it and liked the staff, who were very good with young children. highly recommend this resort to all types of people, especially families.
