The Victoria is in a beautiful setting, with a fabulous pool, overlooking the beach. Our room was spacious and well appointed, with a great view of the sea.
It may have been because of the time of our stay, which was shortly after Hoi An had been flooded, but we found the beds were damp. When this was pointed out to the housekeeping, they readily changed the bedding - but the replacements too were damp. the hotel also forgot to order our car for our onward journey to Chau Doc, although they did get us a replacement within half an hour.
One of the best things about this hotel is its setting - facing out onto the swimming pool area and the sea, you really feel pampered here. Staff were extremely helpful and the shuttle service into the town, made life very easy - although if it wasn't available, then the taxis were very, very cheap.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't be fooled into thinking that just because the driver of the shuttle bus nods and smiles, that he knows what you actually mean. We asked him to wait for a couple of minutes while we went into drop off some laundry and when we turned back, he'd driven off!

it is right on the beach and yet they run many free shuttles into town as well. It is a very peaceful resort, with a great breakfast.
There is a lot of damage from the October 2009 cyclone/flooding. The resort is fine but the beach and the area around it has been beaten a bit.
Hoi An is the real treasure itself. The resort added to the stay as we could relax and read or get a spa treatment at the resort. I would recommend using the upstairs bar as a reading room/area to lounge in. Also, don't miss the incredible breakfast. We stayed in a room that faced the river and in my opinion there isn't a bad veiw, the beach is one thing but the riverside had construction and vietnamese workers buiding as well as water buffalo.
Restaurant Tip : In the old part of town just one block up from the river, there is a great wine bar with great fish dishes. A little pricey but not bad for good food!

friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, big rooms with extremely comfy beds, gorgeous swimming pool
restaurant very expensive compared to restaurants in town
we had an amazing time at this hotel. check in was quick and smooth, we stayed in a deluxe room on the beach which had the most amazing views and the room itself was massive and the bed was probably the most comfortable one i've ever slept in. although this hotel is one of the more expensive hotels i think its definately worth it as we were made to feel special for the entire stay.
