Nice resort in hoi an center

We wanted to stay in a resort setting and this was the only few that exist near the Hoi An town center. It was walking distance to the main streets and restaurants. The room was clean and decent size. We had a room close to the pool and the kids enjoyed a daily splashing a about. The buffet breakfast was nice with variety and it was nice to eat outside with a nice river view. We had a 4 and 5 year old boys and the hotel charged us $10 per night for breakfast the second child. Overall our stay was pleasant but we find that the staff at the reception can be more cheerful and pleasant.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The beach is a short drive away. Worth a visit for a nice swim and relaxation.

after reading many reviews for accomodation in hoi an we decided to stay at the vinh hung riverside resort,so glad we did.from the moment we arrived resort staff made us feel special always helpful and nothing was too much trouble.would reccomend this resort to anyone especially those with a young family.

Better than my previous visit

i stayed at this resort two years ago with another couple. we loved the large clean rooms and amenities provided. the grounds are so beautiful, they have a bali feel about them. there are two pools, beauty parlor and spa. hoi an centre is a ten minute walk away which was quite convenient. the staff at this hotel were helpful and made us feel even more special than our previous stay. the buffet breakfast has a lot to choose from. at 1630 they had a free vietnamese fare called "market place". authentic and filling. if anything this hotel has improved in all aspects and i look forward to returning in 2013. i recommend the riverview room as it is pleasant waking up to looking at the water.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do a tour to Marble Mountain or stop on your way to/from Danang. A truly peaceful beautiful place to visit.

the location of the resort is good and within about ten minutes walk of central hoi an. however, this is not a four star resort by any stretch of the imagination. perhaps three star at best. superior room is an odd shape (thin) and dark but comfortable enough. reception staff are good. resort needs maintenance (including bathroom drains) and gardens are very average (for a resort hotel). it needs an upgrade and for the price charged is poor quality. in essence it caters to group and package tours and, consequently, food is poor and breakfast mediocre. for a return to hoi an would not stay here - better to go to a central hoi an heritage place .
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Central Hoi An is a wonderful place especially at night (lanterns everywhere). It has been beautifully conserved and well maintained. It is easy to stroll around. There are probably too many tourists now. If you are staying a few days then good to get a bike to cycle around the rice fields and the beaches.

Lovely hotel in a convenient riverside location. Deluxe riverside rooms are spacious. Good value for money. Staff are warm and friendly and generally a very relaxing place.
Restaurant Tip:
Hoi An has lots of street stalls where you can purchase a freshly cooked and fantastic tasting cheap meal. No need to go eat 'restaurant' style.

Friendly staff, lovely well located hotel. riverside rooms are fantastic, views are beautiful.
Restaurant Tip:
Ate most nights at Lieu Thao. Tis was a few min away from resort. Trestle table and food all cooked and prepared while you wait about $4 to $5 dollars ahead. Amazing food.

Boat trip into the Old Quarter was fun although the walk into the town was only 5 minutes anyway.

this is a great resort. 5 minutes walk to the heart of hoi an. they also provide a free boat service to town. we received refreshments on arrival. generous buffet breakfast is included. there are two swimming pools, the larger having a bar that you can swim up to. we were checking out very early, so the hotel even packed us breakfast. this is a resort nit to be missed, and for the price it is fantastic value

you pay more than the guest houses in hoi an, but you are getting a resort. the setting is riverside, two nice pools, and good food. it's a little bit like an all inclusive in that there's a nice breakfast spread, followed by a pretty substantial tasting of local foods at 430pm each day. the room was large and well maintained. strong service orientation and friendly staff. a nice short walk to town.
