Excellent hotel

for the money this hotel far exceeded our expections. it is listed as a 4* but the price did not reflect this. our room had a wonderful view out across the river, sadly it was drizzly whilst there so did not appreciate fully.
breakfast served in the top floor restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice.
this was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our 3 month travels in se asia but it was almost the cheapest
Restaurant Tip:
Confetti Restaurant a short walk from the hotel serves excellent Vietnamese food with a Western influence. Great atmosphere in an art gallery setting with fine dining service. Although this restaurant gives and air of being expensive it is not. Prices were extremely reasonable for the quality of the food.

On our arrival the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It seems that they have just renovated the rooms but have not done anything about the rest of the hotel (the pool is tiny). The alleys looked quite old with outfashioned carpet etc. but the room was fine and we got some fresh fruit as an extra treat. The hotel seems to be used mainly by tour groups so the breakfast has an extraordinary variety of western-style as well as cooked Asian dishes.
It is 10 minutes walking from the riverfront.

my friend and i stayed one night on our way from hanoi to hoi an. the outside of the hotel needs fixing up but it is really nice inside. we had a twin room and it was the nicest we have had in vietnam so far, but also the most we have spent. it was a good spot for walking to restaurants and we walked to the palace but we like to walk a lot so it may be far for some. the breakfast was beautiful, i recommend the local soup. the staff was really great and very helpful. anh at the front desk was exceptional.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We felt really harassed by motorbike taxi and rickshaw drivers all over town. It was pretty frustrating. How many times can you say no and in how many different ways? You're about to find out...

Pleasant stay
Nice and quiet, good location.

Staff were very helpful and the place was nice and clean. Everything worked. We were able to leave our bags there after check out, so that we could tour town before leaving on train that night. It was not right on the river, but it was good value for money.

only stayed here for one night, but the hotel was spacious, modern and very comfortable. a minor issue with the door lock was dealt with promptly and efficiently. the breakfast buffet was extensive, with egg dishes made to order. all-in-all, a very pleasant place to stay in the centre of hue and only a short walk from the main restaurant district.

It was in a great location. Although beach was a block away that wasnt too bad. Not enough seats/shade when you go down there though. The restaurant was quite dirty and needs a face lift. The bright pink was a bit much.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walked over to citadel and got a bike ride around which was nice, watch what they charge though they try to go longer so they can keep charging more.
