Hotel needs major upgrading
This hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the river; rooms are clean and tidy but the bathrooms are very small and appear dirty even after being cleaned.
TV was continually going off and a couple of my friends had air con problems; no in room safe! There are safes at the reception but very small boxes so no chance of keeping a small note book in there.
Staff at the hotel very friendly
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip :
Cheaper to book trips to see the sights through travel agents in town the hotel is convenient but more expensive; the Citadel is in close proximity so a very cheap taxi ride will get you there

Great location, very accessible, easy to get cabs, food and shops nearby. Very interesting cultural village next door. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Room is very basic. More of a 2 star room. Some upgrading in progress at the lobby.
Booked the hotel based on the nice pictures but was disappointed when I step into the room. The room is very basic and "jaded" but definitely still clean. Also, upgrading work is happening in the lobby level.
However, the location is great and very convenient. If you just need a bed to sleep and get around a lot, then this hotel is definitely a good choice.

THE LOCATION ON THE RIVER WAS GREAT WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERTHING POOL AREA WAS KEPT REALLY CLEAN MASSAGE IN THE HOTEL VERY GOOD
THE ROOMS WERE VERY STARK AND BASIC WALKED RIGHT INTO THE BED WHEN YOU OPENED THE DOOR INTERNET NOT ALWAYS WORKING VERY HOT TO SIT AND USE YOU HAD TO ASK FOR THE AIRCON TO BE PUT ON HOTEL UNDER RENOVATION STAFF HOVERING AROUND TOO MUCH WHILE YOU ATE BREAKFAST
THE HOTEL WAS IN A GOOD POSITION ON THE RIVER WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERTHING HOTEL WAS BEING PAINTED AND FURNITURE EVERY WHERE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY ENOUGH BREAKFAST WAS REALLY GOOD PLENTY OF VARIETY TWO VERY GOOD INDIAN RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY POOL AREA VERY GOOD BUT BAR WAS UNDER REPAIR AND NO ONE AROUND TO TAKE ANY DRINK OR FOOD ORDERS ROOMS COULD BE DECORATED A BIT BETTER VERY PLAIN BUT ON THE WHOLE NOT A BAD HOTEL
Travel tip : TWO GREAT INDIAN RESTAUANTS OMAR INDIAN WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE ALSO MAKE SURE YOU AGREE ON THE PRICE OF THE CYCLOS PER PERSON AS THEY GET REALLY ANGRY AND ALWAYS WANT MORE MONEY AND NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE
